Maintained Armor Spells

Açıklama
This addon adds maintainable versions of Oakflesh, Stoneflesh, Ironflesh, and Ebonyflesh which last forever (86313600 seconds actually, the same as all infinite effects) but cost you concentration which affects your magicka regen. The Stability perk in the Alteration tree now also cuts the concentration cost / magicka regen penalty of these spells in half. There is a new spell, Dispel Armor, which will allow you to remove the new armor spells and reclaim your mana regeneration.
All the new spells are sold by vendors alongside the vanilla versions.
Note that due to a bug in the vanilla UI, spells with multiple active effects do not list effects properly in "Active Effects", they show the correct effect name but the effect always shows the first effect. In this instance, the Concentration debuff reads the same as the armor buff even though it decreases magicka regen. I have no way to change this. You can see your actual magicka regen by timing it with the shield on and off, which is how I tested it. Any spell with a negative effect also has all its positive effects show up in red, so even the Armor buff will show up red. These are both merely display issues.
Unless you have Stability, you will have two Concentration debuffs. Having Stability removes one of them.
As you get Alteration perks that increase armor spell effects, cast Dispel Armor and then recast to have the increased effect.
Please let me know if there are any issues and I will try to address them.

A different solution to having to recast Armor spells over and over can be found at my other addon, Enchantable Armor Rating:

this mod is buggy.

@DavEdward if you wanna lvl alteration with the mage armors than dont get this mod...the only way you can get xp is if you keep casting...since you no longer cast it you no longer get xp unless you use something else.

Will this mod affect your ability to level up in alteration? A similar mod to this had the breaking flaw of if I had stoneflesh on constantly, I never would level up alteration as I don't 'cast' it any more.

I've made a mod with a similar trade-off. Thumbs up for another great idea!

This was a no-brainer for my Nord Barbarian... His only magic schools are Alteration (this, Candlelight, and Transmute), Restoration (post-fight Healing & Healing Hands), and Conjuration (Bound Battleaxe for pesky Draugr Overlords and their Disarm Shouts).

Sure, his measly 100 Magicka can only just cast Oakflesh (Maintained), but it helps give a small edge without being forced to micromanage his weapons and spells in the heat of battle. (He pretty much just chugs his potions and stews and shouts "KRII LUN" while swinging his Battleaxe like the 'zerker he is.)

i cant find the maintain ebonyflesh tome at the vendors any hints as to where it might actually be?

Casting Maintained Ironflesh seems to stop all magicka regeneration completely, at least for me. Is this a known issue?

Thx, will try that if needed. I guess i will find that book sooner or later, when going to a new town in Skyrim. One thing, perhaps you could turn off the glowing light around the character when one of these armor spells is active. Not very important but I find it really not nice to see me with that permanent green aura ... That's why i was looking for the dispel armor spell by the way.

If you have already visited a vendor prior to installing the addon, you will likely have to wait several in-game days away from the store using "T" for the vendor to reset. An alternative that is more complex is to use the console. Use ' to bring up the console then type "help dispel" (without quotes) and press enter to get the numeric id of the spell (ignore the tome). Then type "player.addspell" followed by that number then push enter. You will magically learn Dispel Armor.

Good idea, but so far i can't find a dispel armor spell ... Been in 3-4 magic items / spell resellers, but i don't see it.
