On your 2nd or third time around and kind of sick of gathering gear? Maybe these are "heirlooms" from your last toon...
The Alchemy chest allows you to (perhaps) explore a facet you've never fully tried. The caster chest gives access to all spells, giving you a chance to try new stuff out.

Each addon adds a chest next to Jorrvaskr in Whiterun. Chests can all be loaded concurrently, or just mix n' match.

Enchanted items are usually Soul Steal, Sneak, Two (or One)-handed increase and Marksman.
