Mike's Real Textures - HD

This is my complete texture pack.

This pack has been thoroughly tested and is bug free, it is fully functional with multiplayer.

These textures cause no lag; in fact I have had a framerate improvement of 5-10 fps since using them, this is as the original textures are unoptimized, and are unnecessarily large.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

• I have remade every texture in the game.

• Each texture is based on a real world equivalent.

• For the grass, dirt, beach and snow I took photos around my neighbourhood and then carefully cut, edited, tweaked and mastered them, creating textures from each, so they would blend together:

• The Grass1 texture has been made from a photo of grass in my garden, taken from the view from my window.
- Grass2 is formed from a combination of different grasses.
- Grass3 is based on a different combination, chosen to blend perfectly with the above two choices.

• The snow is from an old photo of last winter in the UK, whereas the ice is from a macroscopic image of crystalized snow.

• I have remade the sea to have deep, rich colours, with definition between the various sea levels. There are also larger, more noticeable waves throughout.

• The beach texture has been made from a photograph of a shingle beach, and edited to blend with the dirt textures.

• The desert texture is from an image of the sahara I found on the internet, this again has been edited to create a blended texture.

• The roads are based on the original roads, as I quite like these, but they have been sharpened and remastered for greater detail.
