Naughty, drunk, greedy, fat. All true, but now an honest small keen too.

A gambler and shyster, Blotto is infamous in watering holes, sleaze pits and on the dusty trails... and not strictly in that order! He claims to have made a killing selling fur to the mammoths and spines to the porcupines.

When not busying himself selling his patented 'Super Snake Oil', he can be found regaling drunk tavernees with his tales of how he had supplied the Darkbrew family for years, taking great pleasure in reassuring them that they too had 'paid over the odds'.

These days Blotto is completely legit. At least his enigmatic companion, Stick, makes sure that he doesn't double-deal or triple-steal in any of his business shenanigans. He still drinks to dull the pain of his first beating. He doesn't make the big bucks any more but doing an honest trade in delivering items pays enough to buy the brew-ski's.

Of course, a hard-drinking rogue like Blotto can't be changed overnight, it was the repeated bonks to the head which did that. Stick has morals and intends for Blotto do the right thing, even if that takes a little brute force.

How Blotto acquired Stick is testament to Blotto's past indiscretions. Having agreed to drop off a shipment of Super Snake Oil at a wizard's house, Blotto found himself distracted while awaiting payment.

The stick with the magic glow seemed like fair compensation to him, although why the wizard might have refused to include it as part of the payment was beyond him. It seemed taking the glowing stick instead of the small amount of gold the wizard had gone to retrieve was like doing the wizard a favour.

In hindsight, you might be right to assume that the wizard had left the stick laid out before a person of questionable morals. The day Blotto stole Stick, he almost fractured Blotto's skull!

Faced with the dilemma of abandoning his hard won payment (greed is a powerful emotion), he decided he might just look up his old business colleague the shopkeeper.

OH, AND... STICK CAN FLY! HOW ABOUT THAT?
