-> After looking through the modding files, they will unlock at later dates (e.g. 1981/1995 etc.)
The real issue are the missing/messed up categories like GameEngine, Antivirus, Game etc.
I solved that after seeing through some working and not working files and found a difference.
->Adding a short line of code in each of the mod files fixed everything:
Go to your steamapps/workshop/content/362620/876376417/SoftwareTypes folder
and open each .xml file, which is not working correctly ingame.
Replace only the first line of code at the start </SoftwareType> with <SoftwareType Override="True"> and save the file.
Ingame all things are now correctly displayed.
