Luck of the Merchant HARDCORE

Descriere
Sick of being able to guess from outside the shop how much gold any merchant inside has? Then this mod is for you. This randomizes the gold amounts of every merchant in the game so you'll almost never see the same numbers twice.
The max number that merchants can own has been increased quite an amount, but you'd gotta be really lucky to ever find a merchant who's got a lot. That's part of the thrill you know, that's part of a real economy. Who had a good day in sales, and who flopped? This mod is an attempt to add realism to the mess that is the economics system in Skyrim. I shouldn't even say that, there is no economics system in Skyrim, they just give the same stuff to people every day and expect you to not care. Well to this, I say NAY. I CARE ABOUT REALISM! I CARE ABOUT IMMERSION! WHO'S WITH ME?

HARDCORE mode is the real deal, folks. Lucan Valerius, first time you meet him, might have 22,358 gold in his inventory, or he might have 294. There's no guarentee of anything in this economy anymore, and that's the way that people who appreciate realism like it.

Yes, I know about the 30k vendor gold bug, I've run hundreds of tests, and the random number generator that I set up in the CK never went above 26k, in the few times that it got that high. So heres to you challengers to fate, you deserve a round of applause for being bold enough to risk your wallets to Lady Luck.

Your other (not hardcore) version of this mod says [alpha].
Does that apply for this version, too?

IDK If its this mod or dynamic merchants that did this but I sold some Sleeping Tree Sap to Adrianne and the next day I found the same 3 bottles in the Drunken Huntsman's shop. I like it.

@girlsgonemild - I don't mind, it's up to you!

For even more realism:

Why don't you make the gold decrease as the day goes by? (What I mean here is that at 9:00 am the merchant might have 20,000 gold, but as it gets to nighttime, it might decrese to 5,000 due to people buying their products. Or perhaps it could go the other way too?)

You don't have to if you don't want to, it's just an idea, so as is the first one.

@Benjy52 What if they go invest it all somewhere else? What if they get robbed during the night? Not only that, but the store I work in tries to make around $30,000 a day, on average, if not more. That's just for one category of item. What if they have lots of types of items? What if they're really good merchants to other people? Rome wasn't built in a day, true, but that's comparing apples and oranges. Merchants deal with large amounts of currency every day, the amount determined by A:) How they did the day before, and B:) How they did before you came in today, (unless you're the first customer)

I'll tell you what, I'll meet you halfway, if you're interested. I can make an add-on that spawns a relatively high random amount of gold in their inventory, but sets the restock to once a week. Sounds good?
Benjy52 24 iun. 2012 la 21:55
It should be randomised every week, no-one can earn or lose 25,000 gold in a day. That's like saying ' Rome wasn't built in a day. ' See what I mean?

o.... well thanks

@X'termin8r
No actually, that can still happen. The point of this mod isn't to give merchants more set money, it's to randomize their money count so you never actually know how much they're going to have each day when you first walk in. If you're looking for something that just raises the amount of gold that merchants have, check out my other mod, Levelling Merchants Wallets

yaaaa no more murchants running out of gold
