@jackharrison707 Thanks, and yeah it's not 'easy' and is very time consuming building a route from scratch.

What a great set of tutorial videos. 10/10. I would like to think I could create my own route, based upon my years as a Signalman on BR; BUT, I have to admit, I'm a user not a fixer of Tech and machinery. I would love to be able to recreate my own patch IE- Blackpool Nth and Sth; including the old Wyre Branch to Fleetwood.
Anyway, thanks for your excellent tutorials.

SpacialKatana Thank you! To confirm, the Google Maps overlay still works. It's a little bit tricky to get the API Key from Google as the interface is now a lot different, but I got there in the end! the method of entering the API key in Train Simulator is a little different too, but the option is still there and "Shift G" works in Route Builder. It's a learning curve but we have long winter evenings and gloomy days off work ahead!

@isterrett Good luck, because I don't know if the Google maps thing still works as I showed it. It was many years ago, the rest, should be ok :)

Thank you very much for these excellent tutorials which are easy to understand and in sensible bite size pieces. The tutorial about getting a Google Maps overlay to appear. I have a plan for the old LSWR in North Devon to Ilfracombe and now I can finally get started!

if you wish for a a train to be pathed via a point, but not stop, use the hand symbol to choose the point. If it is an AI train, you will also be able to select a speed it goes at. @colin
