A Companion Civ Pack to The Elder Scrolls Civilization V Map Pack

***********************************COMMUNITY NOTICE***********************************

The much requested map pack is here: The Elder Scrolls Civilization Map Pack

UDPATE Jan-19-2016

(UPDATES) Khajiit Skooma Factory now allows Production to be moved from this city along trade routes inside your civilization, as normal workshops do. Stormcloak sound bug fixed.

MOST IMPORTANT!!! - MAPS REMOVED - from THIS mod.
All maps have been transitioned to the Elder Scrolls Civilization V Map Pack (link above). I wanted to add some scenarios and more map options, but given the size of this file, it is hard to get Steam to upload it correclty. Therefore, I have split the Civ Pack and made the Map Pack as well, with more scenarios coming soon!

PS GO GET IT! It has a new scenario map called Domination!. 9 civ free for all with True Start Locations, including 19 city-states with true start locations as well. Domination is the only victory type.

Download Instructions
Up at the top of the page, (under the screenshots), look for the green subscribe button, click it. Then open up Civilization V, click on Mods, Click Accept, now wait for a second and then look for The Elder Scrolls Civilization Pack to appear, click on the check mark next to it and make sure it lights up green to enable the mod, look at the bottom and click next. Now you will see it under Mods In Use, click Single Player (at top), Click Set Up game (at top), choose a civ, and click Start Game***

If the mod won't download, try:
  • Opening the game
  • Go to Mods and then Get Mods
  • Find this mod
  • Unsubscribe and then re-subscribe to this mod, and it should start downloading the files (please be patient, it is a large mod and could take some time to download)

  • You must start a new game after updating - You likely will not be able to load your old save with the new version of the mod. So if you want to finish the game you are currently in, wait to update until after you are done and are ready to start a new game

Special thanks
Jediravenclaw for creating the leader screens and Dawn of Man screens for Elsweyr, Orisinium, Morrowind, Valnewood, and High Rock!

***************************************************IMPORTANT***************************************************

If you want only the civilizations and nothing else, follow these instructions:

  • Go to Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Mods/The Elder Scrolls Civilization Pack (BNW) (v1)/XMLs/Texts
  • Find CoreGameTextUpdates.xml
  • Either delete this file or MOVE it to another folder location so you can use it again in the future

That is all you have to do, if you move it, you can move it back and forth depending on whether or not you want the name changes. When it is not in the folder path i listed above, all you will have are the civilizations included in this mod!

***************************************************IMPORTANT***************************************************

Requires the *Brave New World* and *Gods and Kings* expansions

looks like this mod is broken now (or at least just for me). the mod doesn't show up in the mod list in-game despite me trying a few troubleshoots now.

Tip for those who downloaded mod - in MODS folder open "The Elder Scrolls Civilization V Pack (BNW + GK) (v 1)" -> "XMLs" -> "TESUniqueImprovements.xml".Then edit "<ImprovementType>IMPROVEMENT_HUNTER_GATHERER</ImprovementType>
<YieldType>YIELD_FOOD</YieldType>" food from 1 to 2 , same for production(lower)

This is because improvement yield is 1 food & production while description inside civilopedia says it have 2 food and 2 production which is more logical.

I have been using this mod for years and love it. Though recently I have been wondering if I can find the civs within individually for when I do not want to toggle them all on at once.

In particular I am looking for Keirgo standalone. Does this exist?
