Blacksmith Upgrades and Forging

Descriere
Note: Sorry for not uploading updated versions of the mod here. I use Skyrim Nexus and rarely look at the Steam Workshop so I totally forgot. If you want the uncapped version which allows unlimited upgrades beyond legendary then you will need to go to my Nexus page as Steam Workshop won't let me upload more than one file. You can always find the latest version here first on my Nexus page: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35986/?

The blacksmiths of Skyrim are always happy to not only sell goods but make and improve them for you. Some blacksmiths are better than others however such as Eorlund Graymane who runs the legendary Sky Forge. Most blacksmiths can't live up to that level of skill and therefore they can only improve your equipment so much. Blacksmiths will charge you a fixed rate for the upgrade in addition to the cost of improving a specific item based on its value. The cost will dramatically start to increase each time you upgrade as more skill is required to improve the item. It is common for blacksmiths to give a small discount if you help them out with their problems. Blacksmiths can upgrade your item for half the price if you decide to give them the materials. They also require a gem if you are supplying materials as infusing weapons and armour with gems adds extra damage or damage resistance. With each gem type added the damage or resistance is improved. Be warned Blacksmiths are usually either greedy or wasteful and ask for more materials than would be needed. You can also ask the blacksmith to smith you an entirely new weapon or armour providing you supply the materials and pay them for the extra workload.

The following gems are used for these upgrade levels:
1st - Garnet
2nd - Amethyst
3rd - Ruby
4th - Sapphire
5th - Emerald
6th - Diamond
7+ - Flawless Diamond(Only for uncapped version)

The latest version is very much a kind of test version to see if the new feature to supply materials is working properly and also to test out the new forging feature so please report any bugs. There is a very slight 3 seconds delay after choosing an item to forge if you are forging a new weapon due to the mod searching for the needed items. Only items that can be crafted already are currently available for forging due to needing a recipe but they are easily created and I may add new items to be forged in future.

NOTE: This mod requires SKSE
Always make sure you have the latest SKSE version from http://skse.silverlock.org

Installation & usage:

Put all the files in
for 64 bit windows C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data
and for 32 bit windows C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data

Speak to a blacksmith during the day and choose "I would like to upgrade my gear" and then give them the item you wish to upgrade and confirm or choose the dialogue option to supply the materials. You can also ask them to forge you a weapon providing you have the materials.

Note: Some users get the dialogue bug when using this mod where the options for upgrading and forging don't show up when talking to the blacksmith. To fix this problem stand near the blacksmith and make a save, then close the game and load the save you made. I am aware of the .seq file fix and I will do this for the next update.

@D. Yes it was very outdated by about 4 major updates. I have now put up the same version as the one on the Nexus.

Is this mod outdated to the one on the Nexus?
Also, like some people below me, I've noted that some items I have enchanted come back being marked as stolen. As of now, though, it's only happened on pieces that I enchanted myself (in this case, Dawnguard armor with a fortify magic/regen enchant).

Another suggestion! If you read these comments at all xD
MCM menu to adjust prices. Using economy mods that make money a lot harder to get makes it almost impossible to play as a non-smith and to get your items upgraded.

If you could make hold mages enchant atifacts weapons and amour then your set would be compleate.

Could you also make it wear you can ask the blacksmith to make a certain weapon or armor for you. I am playing as a mage andI don't smith.

Works very well for me so far. Nice work!
I would like to see the prices reworked a little, though. 1500 coins is an awful lot to upgrade an enchanted dwarven greatsword only one rank, I think. Maybe... cost of the ingot + starting at 50 for the actual work (which increases depending on the type of weapon?)
I don't know. Skyrim's economy is all botched anyway. xD
Oh, and this is nitpicky and silly, but do you mind maybe rephrasing the 'you got it' response to something a bit more lore-friendly? Maybe... "All right. Show me what you want improved." Or something like that?
Anyway, nice job, again. I was really wondering why blacksmiths couldn't do this even though they said they could...

Great mod!, love the concept, but I got a bug: few of my items are after the improvement marked as stolen...
