I agree. I'd buy Superposition and Valley Advanced without thinking twice off Steam. Hell, even a hypothetical "power user" edition that would add the relevant enthusiast features of the Professional (like per-frame statistics and CPU software rendering, brutally interested in this latter one given my new 18-core CPU), but without a commercial license and maybe cmdline automation (for like, $100 instead of $1000?).

Lots of benchmarks got a pass, why not Unigine? They're easily my favorite benches, because they're actually entertaining and lively instead of brutally competitive with relatively poor art like 3DMark. Like you guys said, they're even Linux/SteamOS compatible while no other tool of the kind is. True shame.

Hopefully Valve will change their minds. Unigine benchmarks run on Linux without a single issue unlike competitors who already are on Steam.
