History in the Making II: Brave New World Edition

Beskrivelse
History in the Making II (HitM2) is a complete conversion style modpack. It carries on the tradition of it's predecessor by adding a little bit of everything, while trying not to change too many core elements of the game "just for the sake of change". Every addition and change has been carefully planned to achieve both historical accuracy as well as a unique gameplay experience.

Please reference the included Change Log and Excel Spreadsheet for a more detailed breakdown of all modifications.

Also, please take a moment to visit the History in the Making II discussion thread over at the CivFanatics forums:

Troubleshooting (via Gedemon)
==========================================================================

If the mod is not downloaded automatically even after unsubscribing/restarting the game, here's detailled instructions to reset the download and try again.

- First, check your game files integrity, instruction to do so are on Steam Support:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=77138438

- Second try to 'reset' the download:
1) unsubscribe to the mod
2) close steam (not just the windows, the compete program, in doubt restart your computer)
3) delete all the content of the civ5 cache folder (\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache)
4) go into your civ5 mods folder (\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS) and delete any file or folder named like this mod.
5) launch steam then civ5 and subscribe again from ingame.
6) if that still doesn't work; download manually from CivFanatics

Well, the reason why it does that. All it is doing is creating an empty folder in the mods folder.

LOL I watch the mod load, then it isn't on my list.

Hello there! I downloaded manually from civfanatics forum, but the game deletes the mod file when I try to load it. Anybody know how to fix this issue? Thanks.

Would it b possible to update it and expand with historical spawn dates and limit the buildable wonders and foundable religions to original civilizations?

The mod hasn't even been updated for the latest patch. Don't bother!

Dear Grave, I have been a fan of this mod since early civ 4, and I have had lots of fun with it also in Civ 5. Recently, I have added some mods, and I get random crashes to desktop (no error messages), usually around middle classical era, when processing the AI's turns. I suspect incompatible mods. Is there any mods in particular (or type of mods) that it is not compatible with? Currently, I play with the following mods:

History in the Making II v 6 (of course), Throne Room (v3), More Luxuries__v_155, JFD's Civilization Pack 1 (v1), health & plague mod for BNW v 19, Events and Decisions, Community Patch (6-17) (required for some of the mods), Civ IV Diplomatic Features, City-State Diplomacy Mod for BNW (v25).

Please, any help or tips would be appreciated, I know little about modding and mod compability, and even if reading in the forums I don't know which mods alter what files.

reoman56:

Go to your documents/My Games/ Civ V/ Mods
Then extract this mod with 7zip or any extractor really. I have no idea, why I had to do it but it works for me. Sometimes pakaged information is hard to find for some systems. Might be the sheer amount of data in the package, which forces you to do it manually.

This looks like "Rise of Mankind". I think this is the mod I've been waiting for a long time.

I'm having a very specific issue with this mod that I cannot find an answer to. It loads fine, but on turn 1 the blue buttons for tech research do not respond. Because I cannot select a tech I cannot move pass turn one. Any ideas Grave?

btw I've followed all the troubleshooting and cache clearing to no avail.
