Spirit Huntress is a 2D, Full HD action, adventure & platforming game where you control Hibari, a woman that was born with the very rare gift of perceiving the souls of the deceased. Although these spirits are in most cases peaceful wandering specters seeking their way to the other world, some of them are angry, blood-thirsty wraiths that will possess any living being, mutating into abominations and destroying everything within their reach, for they are blinded by their wrath.

It's up to a Spirit Huntress like Hibari, who has received special training in combat and the ancient arts of soul-purging, to set these corrupted souls free from their grief.

Explore a wide range of beautifully crafted 2D environments and set the world free from the abominations that seek its destruction. Fight hordes of possessed animals and human corpses and purge their souls. Face the obscure organization that's somehow connected to the fierce wraiths. Become stronger as you progress in the game and find new items, equipment and special abilities, and take some steps back to overcome that obstacle that you previously couldn't.

This project is currently searching for financing, and a Kickstarter campaign will be launched before the end of the year.

Hey, IndieMadHatter, I'm preparing a new trailer that will show more combat footage.

To answer your question, there'll be plenty of combos to perform, as well as 4 spiritual energy-based special attacks.

is it possible to get a visual on the combat? Aesthetically its very pleasing but Id like to know if the combat is just a linear one button input or if there is combos and specials to be added, very nice work so far though, specially for a one man project

I want to like this I really do. But I can't help but notice how amateur the art is when it's clearly trying not to be. The perspectives are hilariously off for the backgrounds. Unless the world is curved upwards inception-style. And the stiff looking poses of some of the characters just rubs me the wrong way. The protagonist looks great, but spend more time on the rest. Some of it looks like child drawings that were colored/shaded by an adult. Either way, I see some promise if this is looked into. Looking forward to seeing some gameplay.
