解説
An experimental proof-of-concept map where the survivors try to find their way out of a dense forest.


This is a non linear map without a set path. It barely gives any help on where to go next, and it is very easy to become lost.

Playable in CO-OP, Versus and Survival. Best played in realism mode without bots.

Trigger Teleport, gotcha. I'm basically just going to make a basic map, atm. It's a city, with tunnels at the end. The idea is that you go through the tunnels, and get to the other side. I'm hoping to make it multi-objective, and just make it a large single map campagin. Basically, try to do the whole "Open World" thing that the developer commentary talked about them wanting to do originally.

In this I used trigger_teleport volumes with a landmark set to teleport players with an offset to the destination. In Plan B I used a vscript function called by a trigger_multiple to move the players + zombies when all the players get inside the trigger.

So, I decided to try my hand at authoring a map. I'm going to build it in hammer the basic way(HL2 textures and all, lol), and try something similar with maybe some tunnels that look around the city. How did you add the teleporting option?

Unfortunately I'm not planning on anything. I did make a refined version of the looping for the infinite road in Plan B though. It tries to make it more seamless by teleporting everyone nearby as a group so anyone in sight doesn't suddenly diasappear.

So, is there plans to continue this one, or would you take a request for a similar idea on a different map? It would be a port of the map "South_Side" from GMod. The map has tunnels in the city, and they end in pitch black barriers that would be great for the looping effect.

I would love to see more of this concept. So far it's the closest to an open-world type of map, and I could see it being very exciting.

Why you put telepoter at the brink of map?
