No Quest Items - Create Replicas

REQUIRES DAWNGUARD, HEARTHFIRE AND DRAGONBORN

Most quest items (over 100 in total) in the game can be dropped, stored, sold or given away. However, once you get rid of a quest item, you will be unable to complete the quest in which the item is needed. For instance, if you get rid of the Torc of Labyrinthian, you will be unable to retrieve the Staff of Magnus.

All of these items can be replicated an unlimited number of times for display in your houses. The spell tome to learn the spell to replicate the quest items can be found on a ruin altar in Bleak Falls Barrow near a dead Nord bandit (the first area upon entering the barrow).

Being able to replicate certain items will depend on the choise you make ingame: Imperials or Stormcloaks, Dawnguard or Vampires.

If you want to have a replica of a quest item for display, replicate that item as soon as you have obtained that item. Some quest items change IDs during a quest and can therefore not be replicated. Also, replicate a quest item before handing the original item to the questgiver. Not all variances of a quest item are available for replication in this plugin (yet). Added to all player ownable houses is a new chest called "Quest Item Chest". Note, that each time you cast the spell all quest items in your inventory will be replicated, also those one that you may replicated earlier in the game.

This plugin has just been partially tested. I have started a new game with lots of cheating to get some proper first test results and to have some pictures to show. These tests look pretty promising, but please update me on faults, omissions, etc. For the moment, this plugin recognizes quest items and when casting the replication spell, a replica of those quest items will be put into you inventory. However, I've not been able to see yet if all replicas are stored in your inventory, but after a few hours of playing I found that all quest items have been replicated properly.

This plugin has a BSA file attached. If this BSA file is not automatically installed in your Data folder, you may download a ZIP archive from my website (http://www.elder-scrolls.nl). It seems that Steam Workshop doesn't support Papyrus script updates. If you encounter any future problems, you can allways turn to updates on my website.

Rev. 2: More removable quest items, in particular from Dawnguard and Dragonborn quests.

@Vei, the Cheerybelle:

At the time (2013/2014) I have had no problems with this mod while using it myself ingame, not even with the latest patch 1.9.32.0.8, and I'm still using it in an altered form (withou replication). This mod uses scripts, that will be baked into saves, even after having uninstalled the mod. To my regret, that's something I wasn't aware off at that time.

Pity I didn't receive any such comments here before.

Just so everyone knows, this mod breaks numerous quests including:

The Temple of Miraak
The Final Descent
A New Source of Stalhrim
Telvanni Research
Deathbrand
Prophet
Chasing Echoes
...and several other DLC quests.

Quest items are registered in the quests' records, meaning that the quests themselves have been modified.
However, more than just the quest objects have been modified within the quests' records.
It's readily visible using TES5Edit or SSEEdit.
This causes numerous quest events to not trigger, and so most of the quests it touches will be virtually impossible to complete by normal means.
I have even found reports that people with the mod, even after uninstalling it and even if it had been the only mod they had, have had all of the quests it touches be broken, and their save file be essentially ruined.
Using FallrimTools' ReSaver also won't be able to fix it because it's not errant scripts running that causes the issue.

I just figured that I should let everyone be aware.

Quite simple: if you have quest items in your inventory, cast the spell and replicas will be added to your inventory. The replicas have "Replica" in the name.

I've learnt the spell, but I'm confused as how to actually replicate the quest items.

For those sufffering from the "Can't read the Blood Scroll" for the Dawngaurd mission (even though you've collected the moths), this mod worked as a great fix for me. I dropped the scroll, once I picked it up and tried again to read it (from my bags) and woot! Hope this helps someone in the same situation. Thanks much for the mod Altbert <3 ^.^

No, it doesn't work as a hotfix. The items items marked as quest items are just unmarked. Only other thing this mod offers is the replication of quest items.

Would this mod possibly work as a hot fix for The Persuit, if you grabbed Mercer's Plans before you were suppose to? >.<

It would be nice to be able to have a look at the corrupted save file and the papyrus log. If my mod is indeed the problem, I can try to fix it, although I probably won't be able to install all the mods you have used (I am not a Nexus member and no fan either).
