Description
Development of this mod has been abandoned.

Since this was asked a few times; anyone is allowed to use parts or all of this mod in their own as long as credit is given.

It still exists in other projects, like Black ICE, if you want to play with it.

Description:

Improves Canada in a number of ways:
** If you do not own the "Together for Victory" DLC **
- Adds a fully customized and new focus tree for Canada with ~67 focuses
- Adds a fully functioning Quebec nation that potentially can rebel from Canada, with its own focus tree with ~59 focuses
** In all cases **
- Makes Newfoundland a Dominion of the UK
- Adds many new events, including the exploration of new resources as it happened in the war
- Adjusts the 'state' borders of the various Canadian territories and provinces to more closely resemble the real ones
- Add many missing naval bases and cities while cutting fantasy or anachronistic ones
- Renames some places to more appropriate names
- Adds a much larger, and historically appropriate starting resource amounts. Primarily steel, tungsten and aluminum

Most Recent Update Changes:
- Fixed an issue that made people who own the DLC "TFV" have generic NFs as Canada, instead of the TFV ones
- Updated two focuses to use the new icons provided by "TFV"

This mod was made and optimized for 1936. It can still be used for '39 however I cannot guarantee how well it works in that scenario.

Compatibility:

This mod should fully work with most other mods with little reservations. Most notably however it will not work with anything that edits Canada's history files, including things like historical portrait packs. Nothing can be done about that.

FAQ:

1. Why is there no external link?

Paradox has made it clear that their policy for mods is that only owners of the game may have access to it, either via their forums or through workshop. As such I will not be providing a public means to circumvent this wish of theirs.

2. Why is Quebec's flag not the more familiar 'Fleurdelisé' design?

The 'Fleurdelisé' was not actually created and flown until 1948. There were a few different proposed designs prior to that but the 'Carillon' flag, the one the mod uses, was most commonly and informally used from 1902 to 1948.

3. How do I remove the "Conscription Refusal" modifier?

Via the "Conscription Plebiscite" national focus chain on the right, under the military section. You have the option of either doing it diplomatically, but only removing it partially or demanding and then forcing Quebec to adhere to it, but majorly agitating them in the process.

TL;DR: Dealing with them peacefully will eventually remove it, being a jerk about it will potentially cause a rebellion but is much more immediate.
