Forest Nothing 'FN edge gr.rms'

Beskrivelse
King George's classic Forest Nothing map with his edge-fix. THE classic Forest Nothing map. 99% trees, 1% TC's. Chop for space, build a mill, del the mill, build 1st farm... It's played with one celt and rest huns each team.

It's an old map, played a lot (without lag) with the original game. I still prefer playing the old original game (with userpatch/vooblypatch in hd) over this remake. However, in both cases: Networkcode seems not to be the best. Well. It's a game from the time of LAN-gaming (with very low latency or 'ping'), not from the time of internet-gaming... so, playing on voobly or on steam, there r still games with lag (on big maps, with many players)... what i hate most on aoe2 lagging: the game mechanics changes on lag: archers get super strong, paladins starts to suck. ... u could try to play on a lower resolution and/or on a smaller map (it has LOTS of trees).

This map doesn't work anymore. Something about being and old "legacy" mod and needing to be upgraded to the new workshop.

Deleting Town Center (at start) is no good idea on this map. There are trees even inside the TC (row top/left side), so deleting TC would give you just 3×3=9 free tiles, not 4×4=16 tiles (size of a TC). For a lumber (keep chopping trees) and a mill (it's all about getting food asap) you need 2× 2×2 = 8 tiles... only 1 tile won, but u have to rebuild TC later.
U have a long booming time on this map, with lot of micromanagement needed. however, if u like FN but u like to have a faster boom, there r FN maps with some space around TC (a 7×7 tiles free spot is good. U still need to chop trees to be able to build 1st farm. however, deleting and rebuilding TC makes much more sence there). The Forest Nothing Lakes map has such a 7×7 tiles free spot at start...
However, i wrote that FN Lakes map. I didn't wrote this FN edge gr. But i prefer playing this 'classic' FN.

Could be better if there was at least a sigle row of blocks open for cutting beyond the trade center... Sucks you have to delete it in order to start.
also some random gold/stone/berrys scattered around the forest would make more sence... then nothing.

It's a random map, not a custom scenario. So, it has whatever population limit u choose. :)

what is the population of this map?!?!?! please make it a lot.

gold and stone? nope. u have wood, so, once u have cut for building-space, u can build a mill and then farms. then u have wood and food. for feudal u need just food, and for the market just wood. then u can get gold and stone from market - therefor it's a racing to get first feudal and a market. with tons of wood there is a difference of getting initial 70 or 14 gold per 100 wood.
later in a teamgame u may have some tradecarts for goldincome (and strong units). however, for 'early' attacks: pikes & skirms can build cheap and numerous.
