I've used these guidelines to build Beastmaster as a Support/Initiator/Tank with a lot of success, though many will disagree with me; I have never seen another player use Beastmaster. Mana is important as his Axes must be used a lot early game to be effective. I normally use him on Top (Dire) or Bot (Radiant) and coordinate with my team mate(s) to execute fairly successful ambushes.
