Popis
This test chamber is very challenging and very linear. It was my first creation so feel free to give me tips. Don't overstress with the white gel. See if you can figure it out in less than fifteen minutes. :)

Hey guys! Just made my second map and its awesome!

This is my largest and most complex test chamber yet! Its a non-linear test chamber so you can take any path you like. Its fairly difficult, but I think you guys will really enjoy it!

Its called, "All For One and One For All"

Please let me know what you think of it!

Cerberus317, thanks for trying it out! And I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The first two parts were easy exept the last one, had to try plenty of different stuff to make it.

Its easy, and it has no suicide ending.

I like the idea of the laser beam/fields

Toncica, that actually wasn't the original way I imagined but it worked just the same! =) Thank you for taking the time to make a video. =) I will have to check out the custom maps from thinkingwithportals sometime soon. I'm about half way done with my second test chamber and then I'm going to play tons and tons of peoples stuff. =)

I played the map again to see what your point was about the white gel. And yes, I have to change my opinion on that. On my first blind run my solution was totally different, in a really clumsy way.

Just to be sure, this is your intended solution, right?

Maybe it would be better if you didn't allow the clumsy solutions. Anyway, I rated your map up. :)

I haven't made any maps but I've been playing the custom maps from thinkingwithportals.com since last year. Only a few are available in the workshop at the moment. If you haven't seen the NYS-5 series yet take a look at map 4: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=68541415

Toncica, thank you for your suggestions. I honestly wish there was a way to adjust the indicator lights as I agree with you that they were too "clustered". The white gel had a specific use that made it very easy to accomplish the room. I disagree that it should ever be forbidden. There was a clear and logical way to use it. However, I will work on trying to improve my methods of map making by trying not to cram too many elements into one location. Are there any maps you have made that you'd like me to test to see what you mean by a challenging test chamber?

Frankly, I didn't enjoy the 10 minutes I needed to solve your test very much. When entering the chamber the first impression is: beginner's mistake. The room is crammed with everything on the menue and the indicator lights run everywhere. It's more like a playground than a test chamber. The steps to get to the exit require almost no thought, it just has to be done. Therefore I would say this is hardly a puzzle or at least it's not a challenge. Slamming a bunch of elements together into one single room isn't the way to go. And white gel should be forbidden until you have a vast experience in map-making and use it in a very clever way.

I didn't rate the map but I urge you to think it over how to create a challenging map.

@louis_sequin, after triple checking you were correct. To the best of my knowledge I have fixed and resolved this issue. If you have the time or care to check for me, it would mean a lot. I added a cube activator to remove the cube at the end if for whatever reason someone were to leave it there.
