ive had the same problem. the editor just won't save depth info properly for some reason. you can get around it by going into the scenario file with notepad, finding the sub and changing the values <HeightOverSeaLevelM> to -10, -50, or -100 and <HeightDepth> to PeriscopeDepth, ShallowDepth, or MediumDepth respectively.

Ah thank you I realized it is a bug. I tried playing with the editor and the sub just won't go below surface from the start/beginning even when set so.

I'll have a look at it later, and put an updated version up later if I can. I've tried setting them all at different depths. The problem with HMS Ajax is that it starts within the radar range of the Russian surface group. The russian sub doesn't have this and I've cracked the Uredd's depth. I might have to tinker a little bit.

Please fix one of the surfaced submarine at the beginning of the mission. Are you sure it's a bug?

Please note, I had some bother in playtesting with subs set to be dived appearing at the start on the surface. I think I've solved the bug, but at the start of the scenario, you might want to check your subs and dive them if they're on the surface
