CONTEST 5 - Market Disruption

The gang stumbled across a tantalizing secret while casing this bank's vault: the bank is actually a front for an international crime syndicate. As luck would have it, underground sources indicate that a hostile takeover is planned for tonight.

Now is the perfect opportunity to not only clean out the bank's basement vault, but to also loot the syndicate's secret hideout for classified documents while the secret coup has security upstairs at a minimum.

This map has a 'hub' layout. You start on the ground floor and must retreive the loot from the basement vault and 2nd floor, then return to the escape van. The idea is to have a neutral ground floor as a central hub, with two vastly different floors above and below.

Okay, I lied - re-tooled the layout on the ground floor and 2nd floor, and added some decals to explain the hub layout a bit better, along with tweaks here and there.

The security camera in the CEO hallway is fixed, loot amounts have been tweaked. Added open windows to the ground floor courtyards.

jjberkey: Thank you for the feedback! I'll try to fix the broken camera you found when I get a minute. I'll take a look at the coin distribution and see about tweaking it as well. Don't expect any fixes to the layout on this map, though, I'm already on to the next project. :)

There are many moments in the map where I don't know what to do, and too many dead-ends. Also, the camera in the hallway leading to the CEO's office is broken. There are also far too many coins in the map. I was able to get about 10 smoke bombs at a time and just dash through areas.

Thanks for the feedback, "..." I definitely agree with what you had to say about flow and gameplay, glad you like the decor. This was my first serious map-making effort (after the quick one I did to learn the editor), and I know it shows, haha. I'm working on a new one now where I'm concentrating a bit more on gameplay, I hope you'll check it out when it's ready!

This map looks great, the decor is very well done. However, it feels more like a hotel than a bank. From a gameplay standpoint, this map is too open and doesn't have a great flow. You definately have a taste for design, but from a gameplay standpoint, this map needs a lot of work.
