Who killed the Companion Cube?

Type of map: 'detective', spookyness

Update to this odd map that's one of my favourites. It breaks rules about good Portal level design, with deceptive visibility and not every test element being necessary, rather some stuff can be done to provide more visual clues to solve this 'mystery'.

You can set your shader detail to medium for more darkness and spookyness, but in the current update it's not required for the map to work.

Hint (read only if needed):
- every optional step completed serves to give more visual clues rather than having a tangible use to solve this puzzle.
- do not trust everything working as it appears to be
- biggest hint (after exhausting possible spaces to go): how can one connection never activate, but a ball dropper still brings a ball into the field?

Update 1: made some things more clear after toncica tested it and gave feedback, so thanks.
Update 2: went back and revisited this, decided it had some unacceptable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t, and made the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t more acceptable again, with more visual hints as to order in the lightning.
