Screenshot of the day #25
Release date: Q1 2014 (Win XP / Vista / 7 / 8)
Geo Breaker is a block breaking game with 3 different game modes. The gameplay is a mixture of block breaking and air hockey / pinball, where the player actively controls the ball by pointing the mouse in the direction he chooses, breaking blocks and growing his score.

The full game will be available for purchase soon! Here is the complete set of features you will find in the final release:

  • 3 game modes
  • Challenge Mode: play 100 unique Maps, across 4 Worlds of increasing difficulty with special blocks with specific abilities.
  • Survival Mode: over 100 randomly generated Levels
  • Match-5 Mode: 50 randomly generated Levels.
  • Lots of different Blocks and Power-Ups
  • Full in-game Map Editor: create, play, and share your custom built Challenge maps!
  • High Definition, full 1080p graphics
  • Dozens of Achievements to Unlock
  • Stat Tracking
  • Vintage look and sound
  • Netbook and color blind options

+ Challenge Mode: play on 100 unique Maps, across 4 Worlds of increasing difficulty using special blocks with specific abilities. Unlock the next Map, increase your score, and progress through the end. For the purpose of this Demo, we have 10 Maps.

+ Survival Mode: on over 100 randomly generated Levels, destroy the most blocks you can in the least amount of time. Every 30 seconds or so, the map will reshuffle and new blocks will be added. The more time you last, the bigger your score multiplier! In this Demo, you can survive up to 15 Levels.

+ Match-5 Mode here, you play on over 50 randomly generated Leveld, and try to match 5 blocks according to different combinations, increasing in difficulty. This Demo includes 5 Levels.

Profile stat tracking and the Editor are disabled in the Demo.

I understand it's a "lighter" game. I just don't see anything wrong with that, as long as the controls work well, any game can be on any platform. :)

Ugh... I hate how phones/ipads have ruined gaming. A game like this would have ALWAYS been released on PC. sick of all the comments I read about "Mobile App"

I agree with Sewn Lips. It looks like a very fun game for mobile devices, with touchscreen, but it's gonna be a pain having to point at the small ball with your mouse cursor. One thing you can do, is bind the mouse to the ball, so with every move of the cursor, the ball moves.

PC? Not feeling it. For iPad or anything particular portable small device, I would most definitely feel interested. It'll be interesting instead of touching the ball swinging it but to shake/tilt or something in that matter for the small devices. Now that's something fun if not I'll still go ahead and buy it for the smaller devices like the iPad, iTouch, iPhone, smart phones and etc.

@klesk33 - hey man, thanks for the feedback!

Right now the PC Windows version is done and we're porting the game to Win8 and iOS, we want to launch the game on several platforms at once.

@ANlevant es: DJ Skully - no plans right now for Linux. We just aren't even remotely experienced about it to make a port for Linux. In fact, DarthMasta knows better than me and I might be saying nonsense, but I'm not even sure an XNA game can run on Linux. I don't know anything about Linux at all, and I'm afraid we would just consume time and money and do a bad job.

I have a suggestion: it would be great to have a power bar: the longer you keep the mouse button down, the longer the power bar becomes, increasing the distance the ball reaches.
This way there would be a more accurate shooting control.
