A150 超大和型戦艦 Super Yamato class Battleship

Description
Imperial Japanese Navy Design A-150 class Battleship, also known as the Super Yamato class Battleship.
Again, this one is also primarily built for aesthetic purposes, but can blow other things (and possibly parts of self) up if you really want to see it.

Since real blueprints do not really exist for this ship, I suppose this isn't technically a replica. The general aesthetics of the ship is that of the yamato class's, although the rear deck is more or less combined with the ones on Ise class aviation battlehips. The ship was to have anywhere between 6-9 main guns, of which I chose 8. I decided to slap on a bunch of AA guns that would most likely not going to be on the ship, such as the Agano class's 8cm guns, and the 4cm guns produced in small numbers during the late war period. I actually hoped to add even more guns but my computer told me that this is as much as it is willing to put up with, so some parts of the ship ended up looking more empty than planned (so I added random stuff).

[General Characteristics]

length: ~280m
main hull width: 43m
max speed: uncertain, generally moves around at 23.40m/s (45.49knots)

[Armaments]

Advanced Cannons:

\\51cm/45 Type 98 naval gun
8x500mm guns in 4 twin turrets (supposed to be 510mm, but I use advanced cannons)
--4 guns are loaded with Composite HE, the other 4 are loaded with composite EMP-HE
--each turret is connected to its own mainframe, the mainframes are configured into two different ways

\\10cm/65 Type 98 naval gun
28x100mm guns in 14 twin turrets
--Composite HE
--2 different mountings, but same sustained rate of fire
--connected to 6 mainframes in groups of 2-3 turrets, (probably) configured into two different ways
--each turret is connected to an AI Anti Missile Cannon Controller, which are connected to a central mainframe

\\8cm/60 Type 98 naval gun (yes, it says 8cm but actual size is 7.62cm)
40x76.2mm guns in 20 twin turrets
--Composite Flak
--each turret is ONLY connected to an AI Anti Missile Cannon Controller

\\4cm/60 Type 5 gun (smells like Bofors, pretty much Bofors)
12x40mm guns in 6 twin mountings
--Sabot Tracer
--all mountings connected to a central mainframe
--each mountings has or share an AI Anti Missile Cannon Controller

[Equipments]

-2x repair drones in anti collision housing

-2x Mitsubishi F1M floatplanes
---About Mitsubishi F1M floatplanes
-----are planes
-----somewhat floats
-----length: ~8.5m
-----wingspan: 11m
-----speed: ~20m/s
-----armed with 2 bombs/mines/depthcharges
-----cute.

[Issues]

-not as much dakka as I was expecting

-computer first begged for mercy and asked me to stop, seeing that it was ineffective, my computer then tried to murder me in my sleep so it would not have to exert itself further. We came to reconciliation where I promised to not build anything too big (at least for a while *grins*)
-^basically means my computer can barely take it because the number of vertices
-main guns will occasionally shoot parts of own ship (or the poor F1Ms while they are still on / trying to go off the catapults
-the F1Ms flies weirdly
-possibly broken rudder (?)

[To-do list]

-fix the fixable things in the [Issues] section
-add life boats to the stern area
-add deployable picket boats (not sure how)
-other aesthetics improvement
-perhaps try to improve the F1Ms (though I am quite content that they even fly)

[general notes]

-main guns are configured into unlimited rate of fire, which results in a 'salvo' of 32 rounds per gun going off in 1/3 of a second; for references, if you do not want that, the guns have a sustained rate of fire of 44 rounds / minute
-though it has considerable combat power, it is utterly unsuitable for campaign because of its building cost as well as material consumption per second.

[[Notes from me]]

Hi, this is the second upload of mine to the steam workshop.

I was really happy that my earlier upload, IJN Mikasa was well received (or at least I considered it as such).
I hope you'd enjoy this ship as well and I'd apprecieate any feedbacks and/or criticisms or suggestions for the next design(s).

if you wish to use this ship in a work you plan to publish somehow in some form, I am happy to let you do so but Please credit me, and perhaps include a link to this steam workshop page;
however, Please do not reupload.

Hi, again; and thanks for reading this far.

The picket boats is kinda easy, just have them be built and held in a tractor beam when the ship spawns in originally, and then just have them stuck in the tractor beams until you push a button on the bridge or something to turn that off (if that's possible)

Any plans on giving her a makeover?

All of the big (and good!) WW2 era battleships on the workshop have fallen to the toll of time, and are desperate for updates.

@Apollo Yamato was the first of the Yamato class, she never was a Super Yamato class, the Super Yamato is indeed a upgrade of the existing yamato class with 51 inch guns, sadly the Super Yamato was never created

@StateMonster651 The Super-Yamato was a concept from the Japanese to overhaul the existing Yamato-class ships and in doing so they would replace the 3x46cm guns with 2x50,4 cm guns

yamato has 3 guns per turret what happened here?
Apollo Sep 14, 2017 @ 2:44pm
that was the Yamato, while this is the Theoretical successor, the "Super Yamato" Class
