Change Knuckles Config
  • Changing the Knuckles config makes it possible to quickly playtest existing content with the Knuckles controllers. This is done by remapping the proximity grip axis to Trigger or Grip, depending on how the game handles picking up objects.
  • In the default configuration, the Grip axis and Trigger can both be used (picking up a gun with the Grip, and then firing with the Trigger, for example).

  • Knuckles Settings:
    1. The Knuckles config settings can be found in SteamVR Settings.
    2. In VR, press the System button to bring up the Dashboard. Select Settings, then select Knuckles.
    3. These Knuckles settings only shows up if the Knuckles driver is detected.

  • There are four Knuckles configurations to choose from:
    1. Default: Finger tracking data is sent through axes 2, 3, and 4. See the Cap Sense Overview for details.
    2. Disable Finger tracking
    3. Capsense controls the Trigger Button (axis 1) and k_Ebutton_SteamVR_Trigger (in this mode, the physical trigger will be disabled.)
    4. Capsense controls the Grip Button, k_Ebutton_Grip. (in this mode, the Inner Face button will be disabled)
