RtR Greenlit...Oops?
Release date: When it's done. Definitely not December 2012, though!
Return to Roots is a side-scrolling Run N Gun platformer inspired by games of the late 80s and early 90s featuring a lush 64-colour palette, an intense chiptune soundtrack, and a robust campaign editor.

RTR tells the story of a scientist who has dedicated his efforts to challenging the conceptions we have of life and death, breaching moral and ethical boundaries as he seeks atonement for the sins of his past. When things go wrong, an explosion in the lab gives birth to an unnatural force, and may be his only chance to set things right.

Bullet-form Features:
  • Rise to the challenge and take on your foes across 8 distinct environments
  • Battle fearsome bosses
  • Discover secret items and upgrade your abilities to face tougher enemies
  • Defeat enemies and avoid damage to raise your score multiplier and rack up the points for a high score
  • Collect powerups from fallen enemies for temporary power enhancements
  • Easy mode lets you learn and experience the game without demanding too much from you
  • Speedrun Mode - challenge your friends, or even yourself
  • Fully-functional Campaign Editor lets you create and share all-new gameplay experiences up to 15 stages long
  • $3 or Free - The suggested price for the game will be $3, but if you'd rather play it for free, you can do that instead! RTR will always be available for free download from once the game releases
