DARK BLOOD was an epic free-to-play arcade fighting game published by Outspark for North America and Europe from July 2012 through January 2013. During its run, the game received critical acclaim for its electrifying gameplay and was considered one of the most polished action MMOs in the free-to-play space. It was nominated for several awards and had a dedicated following of fans who rallied to find a new publisher when Outspark shutdown. This Greenlight page, which once served as the community's campaign to get the game on Steam, now remains as the final resting place of this much beloved brawler.

Oh, is that why you sent me a friend request? I was wondering what that was about, still am actually, is there something you wanted from me? Also please change the wording on the NEXON GT English site, "Obtained gain publishing licenses for North America, Europe, and Japan" isn't very clear.

Yeah, you can use a game pad to play natively. All the skills have various combo execution options like those in fighting games (Street Fighter, King of Fighter, etc), but not as annoying as some of those can be. Skills cost less MP if you use those combos instead of a hot key too.

Well, if anyone sees this, I think what they said at that site was just a bad translation, and meant to say what they said at the old version, that licenses for those regions was just available for publishing.

I should add that this game has been published to five regions that I'm aware of. I think in order of beta launch dates they would be Korea, North America & Europe, Japan, Indonesia, and China. It has been shut down within 1-2 years at all of them but Korea, and Indonesia, with the Japanese and Chinese shutdown notices coming within the last few months. Given that history, and how many other games in this genre have been developed, I really can't see this showing up again anywhere.

It looks like Dark Blood may actually come back. NEXON purchased a controlling stake in the developer (Game-Hi) some years back, and were publishing two of their other games in various regions, but always ignored Dark Blood. When I went to the Game-Hi site just now, I instead found myself sent to the NEXON-GT site, where I found a Dark Blood page indicating that they had the publishing rights for North America, Europe, and Japan ( ). NEXON-GT is basically a renamed Game-Hi, and solidifies their connection to NEXON.

On a side note, Game-Hi has actually still been working on the game, as even though it was not indicated on their old site, it still has been available in Korea ( ). Anyhow, there's new classes, different class specific starting tutorials, more areas, and other things that were not seen over here when it was still around ( ).

@Jaesyurion is Lying
When Outspark shut the game down they e-mailed everyone with a Dark Blood account pins that should it come back, and should the new publisher use Outspark's saved character data, you'd be able to pick up where you left off. Although that was about 1.5 years ago, the game has changed since then, and Outspark has died as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if everyone had to start over.
