Description
Maker’s Tale game play takes place on a tabletop board game that has sprung to life in the imagination of a young boy named Maker. It features Fantasy RTS like combat in a sandbox environment enabling the player to rebuild the level during play.

At it's core, the game play is a distilled RTS experience, taking place on relatively small, tile based maps, with the pacing intentionally slowed to put an intense focus on individual unit placement and long term game strategy, deliberately in contrast to the larger scale, face paced, 'micro' heavy style RTS games.

Maker's Tale is built atop a powerful voxel engine which empowers and encourages players to modify the level during game. This covers tasks such as simple terrain modifications for allow movement: leveling mountain peaks or damming rivers, players will need to build bridges and earth ramps to get around the maps. It also powers the building of huge castles and keeps, defensive towers, walls and moats, villages and towns... the possibilities truly are endless and we are only just scratching the surface of what the system is capable of.

Maker's tale currently features a non linear single player campaign, pvp multiplayer, and a community hub server for sharing custom game maps.

This is an indie project currently being developed by just myself James, and my buddy Justin who does the art. You can find out more about what we are doing and check out our latest demo at http://www.makers-tale.com.

This could become so awesome. Tabletop hex based gameplay. Could become a lot of things.

Hey everyone thanks for the greenlight! This project has had it's up and downs. We haven't made much headway in a while for various reasons, one of them being we had no idea what to do with the the game. Now this opportunity has given us a resurgence of passion and a direction to get the game playable and released. Thanks again for the up votes! We appreciate it greatly!

Very well done, I want a tabletop war game for the pc that really feels like a tabletop wargame and not some "based on a tabletop game", this looks like it will pull it off, great job and keep it going!
