Key Features
Over 20 Weapons: There are 7 weapon classes in Subvein: Pistols, SMGs, Shotguns, Rifles, Machine Guns, Snipers and Explosives. The weapons are purchased from the spawn zone and all have their own strengths and weaknesses, leading to tactical and diverse gameplay.

Crazy Vehicles: Vehicles not only allow you to travel quickly but have combat advantages as well. Some vehicles are equipped with weapons or special abilities (such as a car bomb!). Vehicles also have passenger seats allowing your allies to hop in and do drive-by shootings out the windows!

Over 30 Skills: As you kill enemies you'll gain experience and mutate. This allows you to unlock new and awesome skills such as Invisibility, Bullet Time or Force Fields. An important feature of the skills however is that they don't make your character stronger, but instead make you more specialized. Every skill includes both a benefit and a penalty ensuring that a level 10 player can easily defeat a level 100 player, so you'll be able to start kicking ♥♥♥ in your very first game!

User-Generated Maps: Subvein has an in-built map editor meaning anyone can make a map and share it with the community. While Subvein is top-down the maps are still 3D, allowing you to climb on top of buildings to find that perfect sniping spot ;)

Smooth Netcode: Subvein uses a client-server model with sophisticated hit detection similar to that used in the Source engine. This allows players to fight in servers all around the world and puts the focus on your skills, rather than your ping.

Unique Game Modes: Subvein supports modern game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag but with many unique twists. There is also a racing game mode and in a few months I'll be releasing the much anticipated Outbreak game mode, featuring co-op zombie survival!

Player Customisations: You like hats? Well how about capes!? Subvein allows players to unlock cool customisations such as capes, glowing bullets, lightsabers and more! These customisations are purely cosmetic and don't impact gameplay, but they're fun and give you an identity within the community. You earn these by making maps, hosting servers, or referring Subvein.


Development Stuff
You read this far? I'm impressed. My name is Ben and I've been working on Subvein for almost 5 years now. I'd say it's about 90% finished, though there are still many more features planned for development. Some things to look forward to are an inbuilt tournament system, a new territory-based game mode, and much more content. I'm always open to feedback and suggestions so if you have any ideas how to improve Subvein then please comment.

Subvein is free so I'm not really doing this for the money. I just thought the idea of a shooter with skills would be awesome, so I made it! Now it's almost done and I want to get it on Steam to share with the world. The more players the better! So yeah, that's my game. I hope you enjoy it :)
