Lacuna Reaver is a 2-D, single-player Role-Playing Game created by a team of students from California State University San Bernardino. Lacuna Reaver is a fresh take on the classic turn-based RPG, with emphasis on a deep story and a unique battle system. Lacuna Reaver is entirely hand-coded in the C# language using XNA - the game's engine, infrastructure, art, and sound are all original, created by our team. Lacuna Reaver was a finalist at the 2012 IEEE GameSig Intercollegiate Game Design Showcase.

- EXPLORE: A vast world with many varied environments, side-quests to complete, and characters to talk to.

- ACQUIRE: Dozens of character-unique abilities and items throughout the game.

- DISCOVER: A compelling and expansive story of an ancient power once again threatening humanity.

- FIGHT: A unique combat system using the turn-based RPG style forces you to balance a new resource: Stamina. On top of the RPG staple of Mana, each skill your party uses will consume Stamina. This system encourages planning your battle strategy, and knowing when is the best time to use your powerful attacks and when to conserve Stamina in a tough situation!

- ENJOY: Over 8 hours of gameplay.

- LISTEN: An original electronic soundtrack (also available for free!).

Lacuna Reaver is completely free to play, and expected to launch next month, on September 20!
