Dangerous is an epic 3D space combat RPG with a riveting story set in an open and living universe. In the distant future, you have been freed from cryo prison, and must discover the truth. Are you the feared war criminal responsible for the death of millions or the savior of the universe or both? Gather your wingmen and travel the galaxy in search of answers. Along the way, you'll encounter a Universal AI, a shadow group protecting the future, a cult bent on apocalypse, a runaway princess, a schizophrenic robot, a beautiful lieutenant of the Royal Navy, a fearsome mercenary, a suicidal slave, and a playboy fighter ace. Discover intrigue, betrayal, love, and redemption.

You are Dangerous, a criminal released from cryo-prison by Cali, a Lieutenant of the Royal Navy. You've been imprisoned and tortured for the death of millions of civilians on Tachi Prime. A century has passed, and the universe is on the brink of annihilation by an unknown alien danger.

You need to find answers, fast. But even dangerous men need help when the whole universe is against you. Find the best wingmen in the known solar systems. Along the way, you'll be aided by a shadowy group protecting humanity's future and the universal AI. While their intentions are good, are they truly looking out for your best interest?

Best keep your guards up since the farther reaches of the galaxy harbor vicious criminals and pirates who will stop at nothing to get the fat bounty on your head. Or join them in creating death, destruction, and mayhem.

But where there is ultimate hate, true love also flourishes. There is someone special out there calling out to you to find her.

It's your choice. You're one man. But you're Dangerous. Too deadly to let live, too powerful to let die. You alone control the fate of humanity and the universe.

- The epic story asks: Are you a hero or war criminal? Defender of slavers, cults, or freedom? Human or something else?

You can fly by the seat of your pants in manual flight mode. You can even augment this with Newtonian physics where your craft will keep traveling in one direction while you angle your ship to destroy a pursuing enemy.

Or you can make extensive use of the autopilots such as follow, orbit, and keep at distance. Orbit quickly around an enemy to confound its turret tracking or outrun its missiles, use the Keep autopilot to steady your own turrets, or follow tightly behind an unsuspecting craft. Even follow it through warp and gates.

Each ship and module has specific bonuses, and you can train up skills to improve those bonuses. What strategies are there? Speed tanking: be faster than everybody else. Even missiles and turrets. You'll outrun the missile's explosion cloud or cause turrets to miss more often. Shield tank: buff up your shield's damage capacity. Or increase its elemental resistance. Or its regeneration ability. At least if the shield is depleted, you'll still have armor. Or be bulky, be bold, try armor tanking. Affix heavy nano plating to your hull and nanobots to repair it during battle. Sure, you'll take a hit in speed due to the increased mass, but who doesn't like to drive a tank? A space tank that is. Why take any damage? Drain their power cores. Jam their sensors. Dampen the sensor range. Or fly support ships and aid your allies. You decide.

What about wingmen? They can fill in where you're weak. You'll need to find them, and help them first. Loyalty is a two-way street. Then command them in the heat of battle. Don't leave high-sec without one. Don't enter null-sec without two!

Command your ship in third-person aboard your ship's bridge. Find and recruit the best officers to maximize your ship's performance. Give them orders to prioritize shields, engines, weapons, and counter measures. Walk around your ship. And when the situation warrants, board other ships to take them down from the inside. Destroying generators or vital ship components would cripple the ship’s abilities. And if you seize the heavily defended bridge, you can take over the ship and claim it as your own. Get beta access to this work in progress.

Live the life of a trader and make your riches by finding lucrative trade routes. Since the universe is alive, you're able to watch and learn various corporate trade routes. And identify choke points and vulnerabilities in routes. Or hack each corporate headquarter to tap into their live database to discover where each ship is and what it ferries. But the real titans of trade are those leaders with the Corporate Pilot skill for they can command a fleet of pilots who will trade or mine on behalf of the corporation.

In Dangerous, the universe is alive and immersive. Even as you relax in your quarters or anywhere inside a space station, the outside universe keeps ticking: ships dock and undock, warp around, enter through gates, trade, mine, attack and defend, break down, pirates will set up traps, and more!

You can follow other ships using an autopilot and observe their movements, check their cargo contents, set up bugs at each corporate headquarter, or do nothing at all. The universe is OK with that, too, because the universe wont revolve around you unless you make it so.

"Space Stations look eerily similar to the ones in Pirate Galaxy..."
"I've seen some of the same ships used in Freelancer mods..."
And the title is *very* similar to Elite: Dangerous...

Apparently, this game started development a couple of months earlier, but still - I hope the dev succeeds in making his game stand apart from other space sims, otherwise it *will* feel like a rip-off, no matter if it is one or not.
