$5 Christmas Sale
Description
Release date: May 2010
Five days ago, Janet left her dorm to go on a date, and never came back. Was she kidnapped? Murdered? Did she run away? Will she ever be seen again? That's up to you...

Date Warp is a branching narrative adventure where you take control of Janet, starting on the night of her ill-fated 'first date' with Bradley, when a terrible storm forces them to seek shelter in a mysterious mansion in the woods. From there, they will face unexpected dangers, mad science, and moral dilemmas before they can make their escape, or be forever lost in time and space. Your decisions will determine the outcome - who lives, who dies, who falls in love, and who must be sacrificed.

This is a visual novel with puzzles. Gameplay consists largely of reading, with the occasional small rotation puzzle to make choices about how the plot should proceed. If you hate reading, this is not a game for you.

Content warning - Strong language, some violence, discussion of drugs/alcohol, sexual suggestion (but no explicit art), and mad science. Intended for teens and up.

This game is already on sale and can be found at http://www.hanakogames.com/datewarp.shtml - if it reaches Steam, existing users will be entitled to free Steam keys.

@guldrosett No new TRT content just for steam - the climate's different now. On the other hand we ARE trying to do a small upgrade on that game at the moment. If you follow my forums/newsletter you'll hear about it when it's done. :)

I'd play it.

Oooh, I've been wanting to try this game out so I will definitely get it once it's released here on Steam.

I really hope that The Royal Trap will be up on Greenlight one day because I love that game <3 If it would make it and become greenlit would anything new be added?
Also, I really like the setting and would love to see more games taking place there, not necessary have to be a sequel though.

I can't submit Cute Knight because of licensing agreements with another publisher (also, it's ancient.) I can't submit Fatal Hearts because trying to get that code base to work with the Steam system would be a nightmare.

TRT will almost certainly come to Steam eventually whether Greenlight is involved or not but I'm currently in the middle of <thing I can't announce yet> and therefore have opted not to list it for the moment. I'm just too busy!

Again, sorry for how long Date Warp is taking to come out... I really wanted to be able to make the new version worth playing all over again rather than rush it out with a vague promise of upgrades later. :)

I´m glad that all your submitted games got greenlit. A question that bothers me a while is: Why don´t you submit The royal trap (bought it and i think imo its as good or even better then Date Warp), Fatal hearts (challenging but if there are cheats :-) at some mini games), and the Cute Knight series (similar to the princess maker series)?

I'm glad this game is going through greenlight :) The sci-fi aspect with a female protagonist is so refreshing, and I love the dialogue and music. Can't wait to see the trading cards for this eventually, too :)

@Hanako I know artists are human since I am an artist as well. That is why it bothers me. I hope the finished/released product is consistant is all.

@nrixcon Artists are human. And considering how many years it's been since she drew this, the planned new art will likely feel different again too. :)

Why does not all the art match? It's bothering me... some looks like it was from something else suddenly placed next to not so great anatomy. Why no consistancy in the art style!?
