IS THIS ABOUT A FLY’NG?

Nope, FLY’N is a platform-puzzle game with a twist: you can control four different characters, the Buds, each with their own gameplay.
FLY’N is a mixture of contemplative passages, where exploration and reflection come first, and pure platforming, during which the player’s abilities will really be put to the test. There will also be perilous confrontations against bosses located at the summit of the world-trees: Dyer’s machines, responsible for piling up garbage in the world of Helycia.

FLY’N is accessible to everyone. The gameplay is quick and easy, with few limitations (infinite flying, double-jump, few complex actions). We have also opted for the absence of game-over and life systems. That doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten the fans of platforming games and difficult challenges, though. Hidden bonuses, optional difficult passages, extra points if the player completes the levels quickly…

In short, the World-Trees of Helycia are pleasant enough to travel through, but will be a real challenge to explore entirely!

I LOVE STORIES, COULD YOU TELL ME ONE?

Sure! There we go:

The end is nigh for the World-Trees of Helycia. Dyer, the cosmic bin man, has decided to rob all of the World-Trees’ sap, the Helys. Little by little, beneath the rubbish scattered by Megabin, Dyer’s cosmic dustbin, the World-Trees are passing away...

Eager to fight back, the World-Trees create the Buds, small creatures born from their roots. Flyn and the other Buds will have to combine their powers to find the Helys, re-establish the World-Trees’ harmonious balance and stop Dyer’s devilish plans once and for all.

The story of the team starts in Ankama’s underground, with an idea, a universe created by Crounchann. The wish to create a platformer where players can “jump from cloud to cloud”.
Four persons worked on the project pre-production, each one of them representing one of the 4 playable characters. As the production started, the team expanded from 4 to 9. It remained small however, in order to keep everyone involved, anyone can say his word on anything. If there’s a good thing with small teams, it’s that you can communicate face to face! Everything is clear in the Team FLY’N: transparency is our leitmotiv
The team plays lots of indie productions… Each one of us wishes to be part of the big indie family.
FLY’N is a collective work. We tell the story we are living.
