We won't lie to you. The development of Faceless is undergoing a very stressful time. Many of us devote what free time we have to make the best possible form this mod can be in for you guys. However, I must state that with urgency we are looking for 3 specifically experienced people.

One (Possibly two)* programmer with experience with AI.
One (Possibly two) experienced Texture Artist
One (Possibly two) experienced Mapper.

[*We say possibly two as if two great candidates pop up, we'd love to have both.]

We only say experienced because we want this mod to be downright gorgeous whilst horrifically terrifying. Every single one of you guys are awesome, for the record. Know any friends who may fit any of these roles? Or do you feel you could fit this role? Then please apply by sending a message directly to this page, or the Faceless ModDB page.

We appreciate all the help and support we are receiving, all of us are persistently improving the mod as much as we can, but as it currently stands it may never see the light of day.

You guys are all after a release date, understandably, we are too. However once we do get a release date we regret to say that it will be kept internally, because we want the mods release to be the most unexpected surprise ever once it is as complete and polished as we can make it.

Description

Faceless is a free-to-play multiplayer survival horror mod for Half-Life 2 that is based off the mythology of the Slenderman. Players must cooperatively work together to gather a series of mysterious dolls while escaping the unholy abomination that is "The Being". There are no weapons.

GAMEPLAY
Players must work as a team to gather (and return) a collection of twisted dolls. As each doll is collected, The Being will become increasingly more difficult to escape in each encounter. This mysterious creature doesn’t just become faster – it’ll attempt to trap you and cut you off from the rest of the group. A frugal use of your flashlight and constant communication are a necessity to surviving this hellish nightmare.

STORY
Faceless includes a hand-crafted story that expands the captivating mysteries of The Being. Players will explore the foulest regions of The Being’s haunts; an abandoned hospital, a shadowy thicket and a decommissioned subway station are but some of the wickedly evil realms that players will find themselves in. Diary notes, audio logs and wall paintings reveal detailed accounts of horrifying past encounters with the Being.

AUDIO
A tense and terrifying soundtrack follows the players on their descent into insanity. From the main menu to each pick-up of a doll, the audio design has been built to create a nerve-wracking and unnatural vibe that will put players on edge. The halls and woods of long-abandoned environments will be filled with the echoes of screaming and running.

FEATURES
-No gravetalk or free roam spectate: dead players cannot relay information to living ones.
-Players start off completely alone and split from each other.
-Voice chat is proximal: players can only communicate within a certain distance.
-One to four player support: die together or die alone.
-FGD support so players can create their own multiplayer maps.

Minimum: 1.7 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX® 8.1 level Graphics Card (Requires support for SSE), Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection
Recommended: Pentium 4 processor (3.0GHz, or better), 1GB Ram, DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card, Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

@ukd.wener: I'm pretty sure not.

@0m4rWuzH33r: This has nothing to do with "Slender". The Slender Man is a character from many, many works well before Slender. It stands on it's own, and this game is attempting to also use that character, but not to copy Slender.
