BlockWars is a multiplayer first person shooter with a twist - the world is created out of blocks! Inspired by the indie hit Minecraft, BlockWars takes place in a blocky world which is completely destructible! Blow a hole in the wall with the rocket launcher, build a sniper tower with the Build Tool, lay hidden traps with the remotely detonated bomb - the possibilities are endless!

Game Modes

BlockWars includes multiple game modes - capture the flag, team deathmatch, and a unique mode called “Do It Yourself” in which your team has 5 minutes to build a base from scratch on a blank map - and then is tasked with defending it while trying to fetch the flag from the other team’s custom base! Level Editor and Steam Workshop

BlockWars includes a full level editor, allowing creative players to create their own game arenas and share them with others. If BlockWars is accepted through Steam Greenlight, we could add a Steam Workshop which allowed users to upload maps and play them through the Steam Workshop!

BlockWars is still under active development and the above videos do not yet include the latest improvements we’ve made to the game, including new game modes, vastly improved graphics, tons of new maps, and more! FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Are the classes balanced?
We have been working on class balance for a long time and our beta testers have been helping us to balance out the classes. For example, a recent change we have made is making the Engineer's blocks have more HP then any other blocks. Balance will be continually worked on even after release.

Are graphics going to be improved?
Yes! We have been working on a large update which includes shadows, fog, post-processing, ambient occlusion, SSAO, FXAA, Phong shading, viewmodel shadowing, dynamic viewmodel movement, and much more - vastly improving the graphics. BlockWars' graphics are still in an early stage - stay tuned for updates!

Can I play the game now?
Right now only a small amount of beta testers are testing the game. Stay tuned for increased beta availability or the game's release.

Is your game similar to BrickForce?
Although BrickForce is a great game, BlockWars is very different. In BrickForce, you cannot modify the world once the game has started. During a match the world is static. BlockWars is all about world destruction - by the end of a match, the world is often largely destroyed! Check out the trailer for more info.
