Hey All, Ku will be released on 17th March (St Patricks Day 2014!)
We made it!
Description
Release date: April 12th 2013
Forged from an ancient tale of Celtic mythology - a uniquely different recounting of the massive legendary epic, the Táin. An action-adventure set in a future Ireland devastated by technomagical war and economic collapse, humanity clings on by using the remnants of technology that survive.

When their ancient spring of life begins to fail, an unwanted orphan child must leave the safety of his villages' mountaintop refuge. With only an ancient sword and a mysterious metal glove, he ventures into lands unexplored and twisted by strange ancient powers.

Pocket Gamer 6/10 - “ a weird, woozy, and strangely captivating style” and "there's something hypnotic about Ku: Shroud of Morrigan"

The Arcade 8/10 - “their world is one of beauty and flair that would make Bastion jealous”

Padvance 4/5 - “Impressive storyline, accessible gameplay, and amazing artwork”

Appgamers.de 5* – ” Particularly striking is the extraordinary visual style and the great Illustration“

Irish Times *** - ”imaginative, charming and persistently attractive” and “a hugely promising debut“.

I like it when people are civil and don't get all grumpuppity over a video game. =) Sometimes I think you have to have a pretty thick skin to be a dev on Steam, because the comments can get so harsh. >.<;;

Curious though, for Humble Widget buyers, will you be giving out Steam keys via the widget itself, or via Desura? (i.e. use Desura code from HW and then get Steam key from Desura collection page?)

After we got a clear and acceptable answer I think we dont have to feel tricked anymore.
You have to understand that the game industry changed a lot in the last few years and as it grew the cases of unfair business pactice pullulated. Its sad, but gettin nervous after any dubious sign not an overreacting after so many bad experience.

Thanks for your answer! I hope we can play your game on Steam soon!

Hey guys.
Sorry for the delay in answering, we are trying really hard to get the steam edition out as soon as we can.

whats with the episode thing?

The book that this game is based on is called the Tain. Its a set of antient Irish tales that sit together to form a larger snapshot of the world back then.

Our hope, is to continue building games in this world. Some of which continues Ku's story, and more that explore other characters and places, just like the book does. Somtimes we use the words "episode" internally and we had been thinking about trying it on, externally, for the first time, with the Steam edition.

The game is a full story with a begining, middle and ending. In fact, we have added a whole extra section to the end of the upcoming steam edition. But our hope is that this game will be part of somthing bigger and grander. Thats up to you guys.

I am really sorry if anyone feels tricked, it was certinaly not out intention to mislead anyone.

Dear devs!

More than a week isnt enough to answer a simple question? That usually means u have something to hide. And thats not too promising to your customers. Not for those already bought your game without any information about what they paid for isnt a whole product, neither to those who think over to buy it.

So, again: what the fück is this "episode 1 " thing?

+2 - "Feeling slightly tricked as there was no mention of this game being episodic..."

Not a word of this at purchase.......:(

I bought the game twice! =) Once on Humble Widget and once on IGS (I always buy the three-game-bundle option). I'm impressed that you already have keys up on IGS! D= Since I have two copies I will be sharing one with a friend, and hopefully more people will find out about your cool game =)
