Achievement Guide
By Dust
In this painfully average guide, I shall explain how to get every ending and/or steam achievement this game has to offer. Or so every generic achievement guide promises but fails to deliver on, so expect a few out-of-nowhere comments that don't have any relation what-so-ever to this guide.

You Didn't Listen
Like every other linear Visual Novel that have multiple endings, there's an achievement for getting the default ending, and I consider this to be this game's equivalent of that. To unlock it, you need to fail both in-game quizzes and view the ending that follows.

For those interested, here are a set of choices I made that led me to said ending:
  • Where are we?
  • What are you?
  • How did I get here?
    Save 1
  • Is it possible for me to get back home?
  • Sure, I'll sell my soul.
  • Let's jump straight into the two stories then.
  • False

  • I'm seizing the opportunity to research other cultures through the lens of a sniper rifle.
  • Why not both?
  • Retreat, Prepare, and recover what was lost.
  • Multiple times.

You Already Knew
Honestly, it's kinda lonely in these forums. It's like a ghost town here. Maybe sending a few unlucky tourists would help the population spike up?

  • Load 1
  • Has anyone successfully managed to escaped this cabin?
  • No, I'd rather keep my soul

You Listened
Haha, you got rickrolled by a sentient houseplant that takes the form of a human girl with yellow hair. All joking aside, these character designs really are the most bizarre things I have ever seen.

  • Kill the Merchant

  • If I'm not involved, sure.

You Couldn't Stop It.
On an unrelated note, I'm sure the secrets of the universe will be explained. Somebody just needs to find a priest in Casino County who preaches this backwards religion called Knoversky and stab him 576 times with a butcher knife. Then we can form a raid party to unravel those secrets, and shout Leroy Jenkins until we're confronted by a respawn timer.

  • Load 3

Obligatory Update Log
4/12/2017: Created the guide, inserted placeholder text for endings I haven't unlocked yet, and made a list of choices for the You Didn't Listen achievement.

4/15/2017: Inserted more images into my guide, figured out that all choices that pop up before Eleanor's quiz do not affect the ending you get, as far as some note-taking has made me aware of.

5/8/17: Rewrote a batch of placeholder text because A) I wanted to incorporate all my placeholder text into the final version of this guide, and B) I wanted to make it seem as though I was still working on this guide. In reality, I was unable to make any meaningful progress on this guide, let alone actually play Azurea Juncture over the weekend, due to upcoming events in my life that require higher priority than writing this guide does. It is those same events that force me to put this guide in Indefinite Hiatus until I can resume work on it.

Fun fact: I was asking myself a few "What if?" questions about this game, and then I asked myself "What if the choices that make an appearance before Eleanor's quiz do affect the ending I get?" While I haven't proved or disproved this, I find that it's an interesting question I should keep in mind.

5/15/17: Thanks to steam user proudlarry, I have been able to confirm that passing Eleanor's True/False quiz does not get you any of the three endings I haven't unlocked as of this update. Neither one of us currently know how to pass Reverie's Psychological quiz, however. What matters is that it confirms the suspicion I had shared in the last update regarding what actually does unlock the "You Listened", "You Already Knew", and "You Couldn't Stop It" endings. (Yes, that means this guide is no longer on Indefinite Hiatus. Bad news is, it's still a work-in-progress.)

5/16/2017 - For whatever reason, I had decided to look at the concept art for the characters in the extras menu. Turns out the developer commentaries for each character's concept art revealed my burning questions about the game regarding how to unlock the other 3 endings. So, in essence, I was partially right when I thought the True/False and Psychology quizzes unlocked the other endings, and partially right when I had then thought that what ending you got relied on what choice you selected in the fourth set of choices. Maybe, if I hadn't been trying to re-invent the wheel, and checked the extras menu before I did anything else in Azurea Juncture, it wouldn't have taken me 34 days to finish this guide. All that effort and time, wasted over something that could have been as easy as "Check the extras menu, get all 4 endings, and be done in less than an hour". Ahh well, the positive side of writing guides is that it helps people who decide to buy Azurea Juncture complete the game, and I can't complain if I can finally uninstall Azurea Juncture, so it's a win-win scenario.

5/18/17: I added an alternate series of choices that apparently unlock the "You Listened" achievement because of an issue steam user twitch.tv/Hikikomori523 had with getting that ending, of which I never had the misfortune of experiencing back when I finally finished this guide.

I don't know how to feel about 6 years passing by until I finally thought to check Azurea Juncture's script file in the Renpy editor to figure out what the criteria for unlocking the endings are, which led to me changing the sequence of choices that need to be selected for the You Listened achievement in this guide. I can only hope it helps those who couldn't get that achievement in the past.

Funny thing is that I wouldn't have known I could do that if I hadn't dedicated time between April 2022 and January 2023 working on a Renpy port of You and Me and Her - A Love Story. Granted, it's a port that I stopped working on (and will never see the light of day), but it's still an interesting story about how I learned to code in the Renpy sdk.

I can confirm that load 3 works for "you listened" achievement.
Thanks for this great guide!

With that said, all I can say here is that I hope you'll unlock "You Listened" when your issues with ren'py get sorted out eventually.

No worries the rest worked just fine so I doubt it is your guide, actually I have been having a lot of issues with ren'py *sigh*

Hikikomori did chalk up these kinds of experiences as "bad ren'py or bad tyranobuilder" when we spoke via PMs last night. Even now, it does explain why I got the "You Listened" achievement by answering false to the bonus question, why you and hikikomori got the "You Listened" achievement by answering true to said bonus question, and why NoAngelHonestly didn't get it either way.

On one hand, I'm glad that I didn't screw up somewhere while writing the guide. On the other hand, I feel horrible about the fact that I don't know what I can do to solve these issues.

The Load 3 worked for me from the Hikikomori guy
Dust  [author] May 19, 2017 @ 5:43am
Now that's something I don't have a valid explanation for, NoAngelHonestly. At this point, I'm as confused as you are.

Were it not for the lack of interaction left by the developer on either Azurea Juncture's greenlight page or the game's community hub, I would bring this up as a bug report to the developer.
NoAngelHonestly May 19, 2017 @ 1:53am
Actually neither seem to give me that achievement..
Dust  [author] May 18, 2017 @ 7:47pm
I'm rather puzzled by this revelation. The You Listened achievement unlocked just fine when I answered False to that bonus question, and doing what unlocked it for you got me a different ending entirely, so...

Should I consider adding this oddity as a little note in parenthesis to be on the safe side?
