How to win a race

How to win a race/sprint/time attack. (Please note I use an Xbox 360 controller for this game.)

Introduction

Hello, and welcome to my guide on how to win races or sprints or time attacks or battle races! Here I will tell you how to not lose. Not losing is great but WINNING is better. Don't forget to listen to your favorite Sonic & SEGA songs while you're at it! ;-)

Gentlemen START YOUR ENGINES!!!!

Vroom vroom. Everyone knows how to start driving. By using RT on your controller. But not everyone knows how to do a boost start. To get a perfect boost start you will have to hold down RT just a milisecond before they say a number. Example: RT 3! let go RT 2! let go RT 1! then keep holding it down and you will get a perfect boost start. Although if you are a beginner than I'd reccomend trying to start it at one to get a small boost and then keep practicing to get better boosts.

Acceleration

Acceleration can be pretty important, but you shouldn't put to much focus on it. Although, I would recommend at least 2 acceleration.

Handling

Handling is only useful if you barely drift, because it does not affect drifting at all. So I would recommend maybe 2 handling.

Boost to the head!

Boost is probably THE most important stat in the game. If you can boost like a madman, then you can get ahead real fast. Boost can be the key to winning. This goes double for Boost Race's/Boost Challange.

Harder! Better! Crazy Faster! Stronger!

Sonic's strongest stat is speed of course. Depending on what kind of event you are doing, speed can be a blessing or a curse. If your doing a Race, Sprint, Time Attack, VS or Battle Race then speed is your best friend! But, if your doing a Ring Race or Pursuit then speed WILL work against you. And Drift Challange is a meh.

Cunclusion
