Description
Ever wanted versions of the campfire and torch that don't disappear when they run out of fuel? Well now you can have that with the firepit and torch sconce! Just add a few pieces of metal or stone blocks to make this a reality.

The firepit and torch sconce do not replace the campire and torch, so you can use all of them at the same time if you like.

You can add this mod to an existing save game.

Building materials
  • Firepit - 3 metal/stone blocks (2 materials returned on deconstruct)
  • Torch sconce - 2 metal/stone blocks (1 material returned on deconstruct)
The firepit and torch sconce take the same amount of fuel (20 wood) and burn at the same rate as their vanilla counterparts.

Have other mods that add recipes to the campfire?

Those recipes will be added to the firepit as well! All you have to do is load this mod after those other mods.

While any mods should be compatible, these mods' recipes have been confirmed to work with the firepit:

Non-Steam download
Dropbox[www.dropbox.com] - Click Download and then Direct Download to get a .zip of the mod files.

@buymoreproduct Well...that's not what I intended. I don't have time to look into it right now but I'll have to check out some other mods that have similar heaters and see if they can give me some clue on how to fix that.

I love this mod! I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but the firepit is a SUPER RELIABLE temperature tool--i.e. it works even when the fire has burnt out and it always keeps whatever room it's in, regardless of size (as far as I've seen) at a consistent 82 degrees. It's made my colony very comfortable, but perhaps unrealistically so. ;)

@Ashardalon Golden torch sconces and firepits don't have any beauty attached to them but they do have a very high value that would affect the wealth score of a room ($400 and $600 respectively).

@XeoNovaDan I added a direct download link to Dropbox since I'm already using it as backup storage. Enjoy. :)

Could you please put up a direct download/manual installation for this? I can't appear to find this on the forums.

I get that it's a relatively minor procedure to just go to steamapps/workshop/content/294100... but other people might not know this, and some people (such as myself in recent times) prefer to directly download as opposed to use the Steam Workshop.

It'll be great if you could :)

@Ashardalon That's a good question. I didn't take beauty unti consideration when I made them. I'll have to check it out the next time I play, unless someone else beats me to it.

Thanks ne_propehta and Avitus! Yes, I didn't want to create a firepit that was any different than the vanilla campfire, except for the fact that it doesn't disappear once it runs out of fuel. So really, you're just using a few pieces of metal or stone in exchange for that convenience.
