Description
Ever wanted versions of the campfire and torch that don't disappear when they run out of fuel? Well now you can have that with the firepit and torch sconce! Just add a few pieces of metal or stone blocks to make this a reality.

The firepit and torch sconce do not replace the campire and torch, so you can use all of them at the same time if you like.

You can add this mod to an existing save game.

Building materials
  • Firepit - 3 metal/stone blocks
  • Torch sconce - 2 metal/stone blocks
The firepit and torch sconce take the same amount of fuel (20 wood) and burn at the same rate as their vanilla counterparts.

Have other mods that add recipes to the campfire?

Those recipes will be added to the firepit as well! All you have to do is load this mod after those other mods.

While any mods should be compatible, these mods' recipes have been confirmed to work with the firepit:

Compatibility patches
Because the Extended/Expanded Woodworking mods add more types of wood, you'll want one of the following patches so you can burn all types of wood in your firepit or torch:

Can you only build your firepit in shallow water?
It's been reported that the mod Water Power causes the firepit to only be placeable in shallow water. Placing Fireput + Torch Sconce ABOVE Water Power in the mod order list should fix this. (Thanks to pcar773 for discovering this bug.)

If you still experience this issue or any other, please comment below with a list of your mods or at least the ones that make changes to campfires or add/change campfire bills.

@Nilserich Sorry for taking so long to make the patch, life has been crazy. I've made two versions of it (so Vegetable Garden woods could also be used if installed) and added links to them above.

A suggestion: A patch for Extended and / or Expanded Woodworking would be useful. At the moment only the vanilla wood can be used as a fuel.

Update:

I changed the mod order to place

"Firepit + Sconce"

ABOVE

"Water Power"

and the problem is solved.

I'm having the shallow water issue (firepit works fine IN the water though). Possible conflicts in my mod list:

@BlueMarble007 Maybe it would be better to do this another way...do you have any other mods that make changes to the campfire? Including any that add new bills to it.

that's a lot of mods… should I provide only the mods that are loaded -after- yours? or should that not matter?

@BlueMarble007 Someone else reported that before but it sounds like it might be caused like a conflict with another mod. I did a test only with this mod and it works fine. If you provide a list of your mods, I might be able to figure out the problem.
