Description
Release date: Q4 2018
Koruldia is a J-RPG with its own unique style, a stylized pixel-painting art technique giving a “Neo-Retro” finish to a singular visual experience.

"Explore a forgotten culture lost on the moon of a remote planete, and travel with your loyal Korumon, a creature like you made from biotechnologies that question humanity's heritage."

Highlights include:
  • A rich narrative experience: In Koruldia, players will freely create their own path navigating through an in-depth story.

  • A variety of camera angles: from classic top views from Final Fantasy 6 (3 in US, our main influence) to fixed 3D perspectives like in Final Fantasy 7-8-9.

  • Non-Linear exploration: choose your own path and order of dungeons, sequence-break is possible if you find out how to bypass some puzzles.

  • The fight system: choose between aggressiveness or compassion, but do not assume that always being nice will get you to "the happy ending". You will encounter creatures beyond redemption...

Inspirations:
We get our inspiration from classical role-playing games such as Final Fantasy 6 to 9, but also from games with light RPG elements like 2D Castlevania (from SotN to the 3 episodes on DS) or Pandora’s Tower.

The feeling of “claustrophobic freedom” and loneliness from Metroid 3 will also echo in Koruldia. “Weird 2D indie games” like Yume Nikki, Ib, Axiom Verge, Hyper Light Drifter or Undertale also especially appeal to us and we hope that you will have the same kind of connection with Koruldia.

Please keep in mind most visuals you see here are from an older build running on a less powerful engine, you can expect major improvements in the final game. (higher resolution, 60fps…)

Thank you so much everybody for this GREAT support , whether it's "YES votes", Fav/Sub and comments! I will show new important stuff rather soon.

@Reidakh (quote: "Steam needs this and i hope it gets there cus im gonna buy it.... but dont be too expensive")
I aim for “triple i quality” but with cheaper price :) they tend to be around 25$, Koruldia will be between 10 and 15, this is what I want to achieve.

@BROLY5783 >> I hope the game will eventually be translated in as much languages as possible. It’s a big challenge for an RPG, I’m fluent in English and French so these 2 languages are guaranteed, this is why I only ticked FR/EN here on Greenlight for now, even if Japanese is highly probable. (but I simply don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch lol.)
