INTRODUCTION
Today Arma 3 was updated to 64-bit which has been a great improvement for most, but for some there are reports of FPS drops or the inability to even launch the game. I don't think most have checked the parameters since the update so I'm creating this guide to help those who still need to play 32-bit Arma 3.
SETTING ARMA TO 32-BIT INSTEAD OF 64-BIT
This is very easy, this is done in the launcher, just follow the steps below.

HOW TO SET ARMA 3 TO USE THE 32-BIT EXECUTABLE
    Launch arma 3
  1. Select Parameters on the left
  2. Select the "all parameters" tab.
  3. Locate platform at the top.
  4. From the drop down list select 32-bit

Enjoy and rate so others can see! PLEASE

THAT'S IT! HAVE FUN!

So i wanted to test this on a rig I had laying around that had lower specs than my main rig, to see if there is performance issue on lower end machines. I used YAAB v0.99 to benchmark both 32bit and 64bit Arma 3 and my results were exactly identical. So I will look into why some users can not use 64-bit Arma 3.

This rigs specs are as follows:
CPU: Core2 Quad Q9400 2.66Ghz
GPU: GTX 750Ti 2GB
RAM: 6GB DDR2

(THIS IS NOT MY MAIN RIG! LOL my main is an i5-4590 and a GTX 1070 8GB with 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM)

I want to play 64-bit but whenever I go on the server brower, it doesn't show any servers. I can't join my friends with the steam option either. :/

@kratos, I am sure then that this is not a 64-bit error, It is unrelated and I can't help you there. Best of luck.

@JoneK memory isn't the problem, all 64-bit enables is more memory consumption, having more memory won't fix the problem the old engine ran on a max of 4GB regardless of installed memory
JoneK Mar 21, 2017 @ 1:26am
get more memory
