AI General Mode

* * Welcome to the AI General Mode * *

This is the evolution of the Spectator Mode.

The 2 mods are not compatible. You will have to choose one or the other.

First things first, all credit for this mod goes to Hambango[] from TW forums who created this. I just uploaded it here, since he gave permission to anyone who could publish and maintain it.

How does it work?

With this mod you can assign one or more units to the AI to control.

For example, you can assign your cavalry to the AI and watch them cycle charge the enemy again and again, while you command your infantry lines.

Just select the units you want to be controlled by the AI and hit Shift + F9 at the same time. This triggers a pop-up window showing the advisor. Now the AI controls the units you chose. Their cards are flashing, so you can always tell that they are under the AI. The key bindings are as follows:

- Shift+F9 will enable the AI for all selected units
- Shift+F10 will enable the AI for all unselected units

Things to notice

- Each time you press Shift + F9, the AI resets to the currently selected units. You cannot add units to a "preexisting pool". However, you can change your initial selection anytime during the battle.

- If you want to turn off the AI and manually control your units, make sure no unit is selected and hit Shift + F9. You can do this anytime you wish.

- The hotkeys (Shift+F9 and Shift+F10) replace the bookmark locations 1+2 in keybindings section. You can change them freely though. For more explanation on the controls, please refer to this thread.

- AI General works for all units, lords and heroes and even for reinforcements that arrive after the battle begins. It works both in Campaign and Custom battles. The original author has left quest and intro battles untouched.

Various Issues / Bugs / Compatibility

Please refer to this thread.

For those who followed the Spectator Mode, this is essentially version 1.2. I felt the mod has evolved into something more, so I decided to upload it separately, so people can choose the version they prefer.

Special kudos to Jaerv for coming up with the name of the mod.

Many thanks for all your likes and support. Cheers!

@Decomposed yeah, sadly no luck :(. I've seen around saying they've taken it out. But then when I saw your mod! I knew that they must have it in the files it's just they disabled it. Wanted to look through the files but.. I don't even know where to start xD

@islanderz671 Not sure, this is my first TW game. Have you tried pressing the Space Bar during the battle? Many options appear in that menu.

@Decomposed oh lol I mean.. like when you press I think "U" in attila just the unit cards disappear.

@islanderz671 Not sure if I understand correctly, but you can subscribe to Better Camera mod and press 'K' during the battle and all cards will disappear.

@Decomposed do you know if you can have the unit cards, that are @ the bottom of the screen in battle, have them disappear like in attila & rome 2 from a button? hoping if there is a way :).
