Axe of The Bloodmoon

With the Ring of Hircine in your possession, visit the Skyforge in the hours between dusk and midnight. There, make an offering to the Lord of the Hunt - bring him the heart of a Daedra, and the bones of your greatest kill, and he will bless the forging of a new and powerful weapon: The Axe of The Bloodmoon. At the heart of this mighty axe shall rest the Ring of Hircine itself, and wielding the axe will grant the lycanthropic powers that ring bestows!

Put simply, this is a mod for those of you who, like me, thought it rather sucked that the only Companions-specific weapon you receive is a generic anti-elf weapon that has nothing whatsoever to do with werewolves. And that the only wolf motif weapon in the entire game...had no connection to the Companions whatsoever.

If you didn't like the idea of killing a poor little doggy to acquire the wolf-themed Rueful Axe, then load up this mod, grab the Ring of Hircine, and head to the skyforge at night (from 8pm to midnight).

There, you can trade the ring, plus a few other materials, for a newly-forged Daedric-quality axe with the wolf-themed appearance of the Rueful axe.

Please Note:

* The Ring of Hircine will be lost in the process! But the axe gives you the same shapeshifting power when equipped.

* The Axe of the Bloodmoon can be enchanted

* The axe can be tempered, and uses the Daedric Smithing Perk

* The axe's crafting recipe will appear under the Daedric tab. It will only appear if you have the Ring of Hircine in your inventory, you're at the Skyforge, and it's the right time of night. The recipe will then vanish once you've made the axe (you only get one!)

Enjoy. It's a simple mod, so if something goes wrong, it almost certainly isn't my fault. But feel free to demand assistance if it DOES explode. Or turns you into a chicken instead of a werewolf. Which would be awesome. So I don't know why you'd complain about that, you ungrateful git.

Perhaps is there a console command I can use? I have the legendary edition, all DLCs. I also already beat the "Daedra's Best Friend" mini quest already, of course I spared the dog.

If you're certain that you've met all the requirements (including being at the Skyforge), then it's almost certainly a mod clash or game version issue. Keep in mind, I made this 4 years ago. It's entirely possible that one of the subsequent DLCs managed to screw with something. Probably Dawnguard. Dawnguard was glitchy as hell.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I seem to be having an issue of it not appearing in the crafting section, even though I have it fully installed, between 8 pm and 12 am, silver ingots (and ore, don't know why), dragon bones, daedra hearts, ring of hircine, and nothing appears, absolutely nothing that has to do with it. I tried to search it through three different keywords, "blood", "the", and "moon".

Not to detract from the genuine creativity of this mod but if you look on and search for aMidianBorn, you can find an easy to install mod that alters the texture of the skyforge weapons and gives them the wolf motif you want.
