How to play singleplayer with bots

Do you like to play offline practice? Want more maps to play with bots on? Then this guide is for you!

Step 1

Select find a game then scroll down and select create a server, then choose the map you want to play. Any map expect for arena, plr, rd, mvm, and sd. You can also load maps by entering the map name into the console. If you don't have the console enabled, go to options, keyboard, advanced, then check "Enable developer's console."

Step 2

When the map you selected has loaded, open the console by pressing the ` key. (The key right under escape) First, enter "sv_cheats 1" (Without quotations) then "nav_generate"

Step 3

After you've entered "nav_generate" the game will go really slow. It's doing this because the game is generating walkable space for the bots. Wait a moment and the map will reload.

Step 4

When the map reloads, open the console and enter "tf_bot_add" (insert bot number) and you're done! You can even earn achievements and update stats while playing with bots. However, sv_cheats must be disabled in order for that to work. So if you wish to earn achievements and update stats, leave the server and restart. I hope this helped, have fun!

uuh for me it doesnt work. the bots wont appear. I did all the things but it says something like "unable to create bot (name) - CreateFakeClient() returned NULL." I tried this on maps 2fort, suijin, and brazil, but none seem to work please help!!!
