TES V: Skyrim, Dawnguard
Revamped Vampire Lord v 1.06
Created by Mercurius85

REQUIRES DAWNGUARD

A Nexus exclusive file with additional options and settings is available here; http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21660/

-----------------------------------------------------

Load order:

The location of this mod in your load order list shouldn't matter too much. Of course, if there are any other mods that modify the same things, they will obviously conflict..
NOTE: If using any of the optional files, make sure to load them AFTER Revamped Vampire Lord.ESP.

-----------------------------------------------------

Description:

This mod revamps Dawnguard's Vampire Lord form into something I'd like to consider a bit more balanced for higher difficulty modes.
Of course, you require Dawnguard for this to work.

Here's what's changed for our lovely muttfaced Vampire Lords;

-Vampiric Grip deals 35 choking damage instead of 5 and costs roughly 8% less to cast. Note that in rare cases people have to aim directly down for the spell to deal choking damage.

-Having Serana as a follower no longer cripples your drain spell.

-Increased Poison talon's damage from 20 damage over 4 seconds to 100 damage over 4 seconds.

-Increased Night Cloak's damage from 4 to 20 damage per second.

-Decreased Corpse Curse's duration from 10 to 2 seconds. (Horribly overpowered. Especially with necromage.)

-Increased effectiveness of Vampire Lord's Raise Dead spell from level 8 for all levels to 28.

-The gargoyle summon now scales in level with the player and caps out at level 45.

Updates:

-V 1.06
The file is available in 3 versions now: Low boost, medium boost, and high boost. (ONLY ON THE NEXUS; http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21660/ )
Redid some balancing with the necromage perk in mind
Vampiric Grip deals 35 choking damage instead of 5 and costs roughly 8% less to cast.
Power of the grave boost set back to it's vanilla values.
Decreased Corpse Curse's duration from 10 to 2 seconds. (Horribly overpowered. Especially with the Necromage perk.)
Added my vampire collision fix as an optional file.
Removed the hardcore version as it's replaced by the high boost version included in the file.

-V 1.05
Decreased Night Cloak damage from 25 per second to 20 per second to balance out melee combat a bit.
Having Serana as a follower no longer cripples your drain spell.
VL's drain spell now drains the vanilla amount of hp/magicka and stamina, but deals additional damage with the damage health part of the spell to get the increased damage values.
VL's drain spell has been altered to scale better, adding roughly 10% damage at level 1, and 120% on top of the vanilla base at level 40+, with damage slowly scaling up inbetween.

-V 1.04
Changed the Vampire Lord's model size back to normal.
Added an optional file that reduces the model size to avoid collision issues.

-V 1.03
Updated perk descriptions.
Gave claw damage a damage boost that makes them nearly equal to werewolf claws with maxed bestial strength.
Removed base claw damage boost so it scales better with levelling.
The gargoyle summon now scales in level with the player and caps out at level 45.
Vampire Lord's Vampiric Drain for levels 31+ got a small increase in damage to deal with high level enemies on master difficulty.
Vampire Lord model scaled down slightly. Should fix a bunch of collision issues in tight spaces in caves. (VL is just a tad taller than your average Nord now.)

-V 1.02
Changed Vampire Lord's Drain to only steal 15% of the damage done as health.
Armor and Magic Resistance scaling changed.
Removed a duplicated damage entry for the Vampire Lord's Drain spell and boosted damage a little to make up for that.
Removed the damage boost from regular Vampire's Vampiric Drain. Should no longer cause conflict with other mods that alter Vampiric Drain.
Vampire grip damage returned to default since it doesn't seem to work in the first place.
Night Cloak's damage is increased to 25 damage per second to make up for grip's damage not working.

-V 1.01
Added an increase in damage resistance
Added magical resistance that goes up to 45% at level 50

Other useful and fancy mods that'll improve your experience in Skyrim as a Vampire Lord:

-Better Magic (Probably the best magic mod out there for players who like adept+ difficulties. Scales pretty well with my revamp.)

-Vampire Lords can Loot and Activate (For those who want to... Loot and activate as a Vampire Lord.)
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21631

-Categorized Favorites Menu (Ask yourself; Who could live without this? Not you. Get this. Will make your favorites menu so much better.)

Compatability:

Incompatible with any other mods that change or modify the attributes listed above.

It should be safe to use both, yes.

So I'm using this mod with the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch. Since they both fix the drain life bug with Serana as your follower, does that mean they will conflict with each other? Will it be safe to use both?

I am taking your Mod suggestions and downloading your Mod...Now I should feel like a Vampire Lord...Thanks so much for making this Mod!

That's fine, after looking through some of those mods anyway, I would most definitely get this, the vanilla VL powers and perks are fine for me it just bothers me sometimes with how liitle damage they do, so thank you
Merc  [author] Mar 12, 2013 @ 6:05pm
It should work fine with mods that add perks, yes. Anything that modifies the existing vanilla VL perks though will conflict with this.
Sgt_J_crafter Mar 12, 2013 @ 5:30pm
Just a question: does this work with mods that add new perks and spells to the vampire lord perk tree, such as royal bloodline that adds some perks that give you armor rating, extra damage on spells and less magicka cost etc. or will it crash? It really would help to know :)

Have you thought about giving the vampire lord model some armor like Harkon?

Thumbs down for bullshit in the beginning.
