Arrowsmith allows you to craft arrows in bundles of 50.
This Dawnguard Edition replaces the Dawnguard arrow crafting recipes with the original Arrowsmith recipes and adds new recipes for Dragonbone Arrows and the various Crossbow Bolts.

If you don't have Dawnguard use the Vanilla Edition

Do not use both editions at the same time.

Click the Subscribe button above.
Skyrim's launcher will automatically download the mod.
Click Data Files in the launcher and checkmark Arrowsmith-Dawnguard.esp.

Q: Why did you make a Dawnguard version if Dawnguard already has arrow crafting?
A: Several reasons:
1. To rebalance the arrow crafting. Arrowsmith: Dawnguard Edition makes the more powerful arrows a little harder to get, requiring rare or expensive materials to make them.
2. Arrowsmith also adds recipes for Ancient Nord Arrows and Nord Hero Arrows.
3. Arrowsmith also requires fletchings for most arrows and adds several ways to get them.
4. Some players who used the Vanilla Edition asked for it.

Q: If sided with the Vampires can I still make crossbows and bolts?
A: Yes, with this mod you can.
If you haven't completed the quest Destroying the Dawnguard, do the side quests for the Vampires (ask them for work) until you get the quest. Then kill Sorine Jurard (required to complete the quest) and loot Sorine's Journal from her dead body.
If you completed the quest before loading this mod (or updating to v.3d) then return to Fort Dawnguard and find Sorine's Journal on a shelf near the smelter and workbench.
Read Sorine's Journal to learn the recipes. You still need the Steel Smithing and Dwarven Smithing perks to craft the crossbows and bolts.

  • Iron, Steel, and Ancient Nord arrows now require Fletchings, as Fletchings are easier to obtain now.
    
  • All Firewood requirements reduced to 2 Firewood per 50 arrows/bolts (down from 5 Firewood).
    
  • Nord Hero Arrows now require 100 Ancient Nord Arrows (down from 250 AN Arrows).
    
  • Bone Hawk Feathers can be used to make Fletchings.
    
  • Bolts are now made in bundles of 50 with their requirements adjusted accordingly (up from 25 Bolts).
    
  • Players that sided with the Vampires can now learn all of the crossbow and bolt recipes by reading Sorine's Journal, which can be found on her dead body during the Destroying the Dawnguard quest or on the shelf near the smelter and workbench in Fort Dawnguard if the player has already completed the quest.
    
  • The Fort Dawnguard forge requirement for crafting crossbows has been removed so that they can be crafted at any forge.
    
  • Fixed categorization for Ancient Nord Arrows in the forge menu.
