Description
Civ V: Communitas is a community-made expansion pack for Civilization V: BNW.

We started this project because we believe Civilization is a fantastic game, and we aim to perfect it while remaining as close to the core experience as possible. We think games should be intuitive to learn, challenging to master, and rewards should match the difficulty to complete tasks. We believe in finding balance between extremes. We set a high bar for adding new things to the game, and instead improve or replace existing objects when possible.

Communitas is a collaboration of work from dozens of authors, plus an incredible community of forumgoers on CivFanatics.com. The Latin word “communitas” means an unstructured community in which people are equal, or to the very spirit of community.

The expansion pack provides:

- A fun and realistic map script.
- New units, buildings and wonders.
- Smarter AI players.
- Balanced gameplay.
- Expanded modding tools.
- Improved interface features.
- Fixes for bugs in the core game.

You're looking for the community patch project most likely. I'd recommend using the community patch as well as the balance patch and other components such as city state diplomacy and civ4 diplomatic features, events and decisions, and enhanced ui. You can find all of this on the civ fanatics forum. http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=497

That's a link to the sub forum on the community patch. There is a sticky with download links as well as install instructions and info on other compatible mods.

Is this the so called "community mod" that I've been hearing of? If not could someone perhaps inform me as to where I could find it.

Are these mods multiplayer? If so, then how would I set it up?

thank you that helped a ton

Sarge: It sounds like you are not starting the game with CAT. You need to have CAT to get CEG to work properly. CEG gives the -10 penalty. CAT gives you a +10 bonus.

"For some reason the AI doesn't seem to have a limit on their trade routes, it's the classical era and assyria already has 7."
This is a recent, known bug. Usually 2 civs keep building caravans. Post your complaint here:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=431.
Usually the caravans are just sitting idle in the capital. My current solution is to open IGE, place the pointer on their capital and delete the caravans as well as any caravansaries.

This mod works fine for me. I get that UI problem when I have any kind of conflict with another mod or have tweaked the XML core files. There are only a few modders helping out with these bugs and they fix problems that are posted here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=431.

There is a glitch, I cannot build anything in my city from turn one. When I press the choose production button, nothing happens. It just moves me to my next unit. Help!

Same here!

Is this due to the recent patch?
