Reduced Resistance

Reduces maximum magic resistance from 85% to 50%.

Magic resistance is a bit overpowered. With a couple of items you can stand naked in front of a full blown dragon attack and barely feel it.
And by stacking Magic resistance and Elemental resistance it's possible to get to 97.75% resistance against an elemental attack. With this mod the maximum stacked resistance is 75%.

By reducing the maximum, resistance effects are still useful, but not to a ridiculous degree.

NOTE: Items are unaffected and can still have effects above 50% (similar to how you can stack one type of resistance to well over the original 85% limit). But that only increases the value of the item, the actual effect on the player is limited to 50%.

Sounds great, according to your description its still easy to get 100% atronach and ignore this mod. Atronach > Magic Resistance. Still, it's a good idea, so I'll upvote.

okay i gotcha, so Resist magic works accross the board and has a lower cap then the individual elements, thnx!

There's two numbers because there's a difference between Magic Resistance and Elemental Resistance and they're applied separately. So if you equip a Resist Magic item/potion/spell, you can reach the new maximum of 50% Magic Resistance. But if you also equip a specific Elemental Resistance item/potion/spell, like Resist Fire, then your Fire Resistance can go up to 75%, because 50% of the fire damage is being blocked by Magic Resistance and then 50% of what's left is blocked by the Fire Resistance. But all other Magic Resistance will stay at 50%, unless you equip another item like Resist Frost.

You qouted multiple numbers here... you say max is 85% and you reduced it to 50%..

Then you say it is 97.75% and reduced to 75%
