Description
Lowers the required room sizes to better match realistic sizes of a house. This is also for those who like smaller packed bases. This mod was sugested by Gwazi Magnum.

Features

-minimal sizes by tiles

-------------------Normal-------Mod
Tight..................12...............6
Average.............29...............12
SW Spacious.....55...............28
Quite Spacious..70...............45
Very Spacious...130.............75
EX Spacious......350.............175

Let me know in the chat below if you feel these sizes are too small or too big.

- Reduced Beauty Debuff for dirt/Filth

Since most people don't walk into an average room, leave a bit of dirt on the floor and decide that room is now the worst room on the planet, i'm adding my "It's just a little dirt" mod to help offset the unrealistic debuff for having floors.

-------------------Normal-------Mod
Dirt....................-15..............-4
Sand.................-15..............-4

Update: I changed debris and animal filth back to -15, I don't think i will be changing dirt though for the simple reason the smaller the room the worse the original -15 was to the room. So it just doesn't make sense to change that right now to keep the rooms more balanced.

Note this doesn't affect how clean an area is, just how the colonist feel about the area. Everything outside will also most likely be -1 instead of whatever it was normally, thats mostly just because of how the code works for filth objects.

Thank you to everyone who has subbed, faved and rated. I'm shocked by how fast this one is growing.

You can now find the light version of this mod on my workpage for those who want smaller rooms, but find this mod lowered them too much.

This is saved game compatible.

Finally check out my other mods that help with area beauty for rooms, Just a little Dirt(blood & Guts) and Beautiful Weapons.

This works for me with no errors in A17.

Not really Zeabz, a rectangular room with 80 tiles is still as big as a square room with the same number.

I love the idea of the mod. The vanila room sizes are rediculous in my own opinion. However some of the room sizes are still a little off to me. Would'nt establishing the tiers around square rooms make a little more sense.

IE

---------------------Normal------------Mod
Tight..................12................9 (3x3)
Average..............29...............16 (4x4)
SW Spacious......55...............25 (5x5)
Quite Spacious...70................49 (7x7) Personally I usually build all my bases in a grid using this size as a base.. then double it (7x15) for communal rooms like cafeterias, rec rooms, medical, etc..
Very Spacious....130..............80 (9x9) this will need 1 support beam to prevent cave in. I subtracted 1 from the base
EX Spacious......350..............168 (13x13) this will need 1 support beam to prevent cave in. I subtracted 1 from the base

As a Dwarf Fortress player this is welcome. One thing you immedietely think when starting Rimworld is: 'Shit, these colonists want luxury!'

Thanks so much for this!

It's growing so fast because everyone likes smaller bases where a 3mx3m or 2mx4m is easily large for one person. Good idea with this mod!

It seems like random people criticizing something are just judgemental and seeks attention for the lack of meeting expectations. In order words, they have a problem.
