Description
Release date: Launched!
Angevil is a free 2D side-scrolling PvP arena game.
The main objective is to have fun by beating up to 5 other players in different team setups.

You will be able to draw and upload your own 2D characters, select 4 different spells, edit your own catch phrases, select the best sound effects for your character, compete in the ranks and much more!

The concept was born when I wanted to play a PvP game using characters that I like (Lion-O, Kakashi, Samurai Jack, etc...) and characters that I used to draw at my freetime but I couldn't find a place.
It is not an engine like M.U.G.E.N. I wanted to create something more complex, with Wars, Clans, Friends and stuff... So, I used different game characters to show that is possible for the user to draw anything and play with it. Like, his very own character.

There are a lot of things planned for Angevil's future: Clan system, Clan wars, Territorial dispute, World Lords buff, Followers monthly war, grouping system, more spells (MUCH more)...

"I think this is what happens when you're a lone developer trying to do the Artwork."

"Anyway, lessons learned. I will add the description above in the main page and I will wait for the election to end and take the right measures to make this work."

The right measures are to hire a team which includes artists to ensure you make a polished and complete project. You burned your first impression, which is unfortunate, but it's not the end of the world.

Yet another 2d brawler/fighter that does nothing new or interesting and does everything old worse than other games. No thanks

Not a game for me.

Yawn. 2D spectacle fighters were popular back in the Gamecube days. Also this is already playable elsewhere. Steam doesn't need this.

Thank you all for the sincere feedbacks. I think this is what happens when you're a lone developer trying to do the Artwork.
The general thought is "The game art is a frankenstein". I'm truly sorry for that.
I wish someone could try it, just to give me a "gameplay feedback" though.

The concept was born when I wanted to play a PvP game using characters that I like (Lion-O, Kakashi, Samurai Jack, etc...) and characters that I used to draw at my freetime. Anyway, lessons learned. I will add the description above in the main page and I will wait for the election to end and take the right measures to make this work.
Thanks again the community for the feedbacks and I hope to return here with something better to show you all.

The artistic dissonance is flummoxing.

Clusterfuck: The game

Seriously, this is a literal mess, No thank you.

The game looks terrible. Looks like amateurish pixel-art made within minutes. Don't even get me started on the UI.

Blurry pixel-art is so ugly.
