Simple skylight you can install into roofs to let in sunlight.

This is a feature from another mod i made called MarsX that someone requested i make standalone.

Non steam version is available here:

Fixed it, I definatly put too many up.

maybe, its basically a sunlamp which grows and shrinks based on how bright it is outside every x ticks, if you have hundreds of them it might cause problems at higher game speeds

This seems to get a touch laggy in daytime, have I just fitted too many?

Minor bug someone probably has mentioned before: tried to put a skylight over marshy soil, got a "The terrain here cannot support this" message.

Check out the "ED-Laser Drill" mod:
It allows your colonists to basically "make or break" steam vents.

yup well you cant have an easy fix for everything, solar panels are pretty rubbish in cold biomes too, i think wind turbines have much better cost to power generation according to some bloke on reddit, i usually build around a steam vents from the start or just wall off wind turbines

yes slaor, thank steam for not allowing edits

I have a large steel bunker built between 3 mountains in a tundra biome, but the only steam gysers are far away. I wanted to secrure my sloar generators within my bunker, because then they cant be set on fire by raiders n such. however, since the skylight does not work on the panels, i now have to have holes in my roof leaking heat in the cold ass winters.

The vanilla solar panels are exterior-rated anyway.

solar panels stop working when roofed and the skylights are technically still roofed, i don't want to override the solar panel class just to fix that, they are mainly just for making greenhouses in rough climates
